Emma and Nathan decided to hang out at her house. Nathan walked up and rang the doorbell. Emma opened the door.

"Hey. Sorry I look hideous, I didn't get ready. Or I'm about to start getting ready."

   "You look cute."

"No I don't. I have no makeup on and I have pigtail braids in my hair. I look like a 5 year old."

"Nah. You look like the girl I'm in love with."

"Shut up."

She kissed him on the cheek and left to go get ready. He went to go sit on the couch. She walked out of her room.

"You came pretty early. I was probably gonna make food."

"Oh let me help you then."

He tickled her and picked her up.

"AHAHA STOPPPPP! NATHAN!"

He brought her to the kitchen. Emma playfully shoved him away and got out some cake mix.

"Might as well."

She got out some ingredients and utensils. She cracked some eggs and mixed some flour. Nathan came up being Emma and scared her. She threw flour at him.

"JESUS CHRIST-"

Nathan gasped. He grabbed the flour and threw it at her.

"HEY I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!"

She threw some more flour at Nathan and continued to bake.

"You are such a jerk."

Emma said.

"Well at least I know you love me."

Nathan nudged her.

"Yeah. Yeah. Ok!"

She stuck the cake in the oven and got out supplies to decorate it. She sat on the counter with a cup of coffee. Nathan leaned on the cabinet in front of her. Soon, the timer beeped. She hopped of the counter with some oven mitts and took the cake out. She opened the frosting. She dipped her finger in and wiped it on Nathan's nose.

"Just payback."

She winked. He glared.

"Oh it is so on."

Nathan took some frosting and smeared it on Emma's cheek.

"HEY!"

She grabbed the flour and threw it at him.  He put some of the flour on her smeared more of the frosting on Emma. They both threw some eggs at each other. She took the frosting and spread it all over his face. She laughed.

   "Perfect."

They looked at each other and burst out laughing. They both finished decorating the cake.

"Let's get cleaned up and actually eat."

Nathan said. Emma nodded. She washed her face off. She threw him some clothes.

"Here."

Nathan nodded thanks. She left and went to change. Nathan wiped some of the icing and flour off himself. He cut some slices of cake for the both of them. He put on the shirt. Emma walked out.

"Hey, you missed a spot of icing."

He said. She turned frantically towards the bathroom.

"SHOOT IS IT MY HAIR. IT'S DEFINITELY STILL IN MY HAIR ISN'T IT."

Nathan pulled her arm and kissed her.

"Right there."

Emma blushed.

"I- uh.."

"Yes?"

She saw her cut slice of cake and grabbed her plate. A chance to change the subject.

"Thank you. I'm starved."

She walked outside and sat in a hammock. Nathan sat down next to her. She took a bite of his slice.

"Hey. You're so rude."

She smiles innocently.

"Dang, I sure did well."

"WE did well."

"No. I did well. You did nothing."

She laughed and leaned on Nathan's shoulder. Emma looked at her phone. He started to rock the hammock.

"This is nice.... I haven't actually relaxed for forever."

"I can tell."

He stroked her hair. They both started talking about all the memories they shared. From the beginning, to a bit of the future. Soon enough. Emma fell asleep. Nathan kissed her on the forehead, still rocking the hammock so she wouldn't wake up. Everything was perfect, and the both of them didn't want anything to change.
