When I got back to my room, Dawn was there, my suitcases and her dresser drawers were open, and there were piles of clothes on both of our beds. I sighed and tossed my purse and keys on my desk.
"What are you doing?" I whined.
"I'm just trying to help you figure out what you should wear for your date tonight." She said, trying to act innocent and not succeeding. "Amy and Christelle are on their way over with some other things that they think might be helpful." She gave me a cheeky grin. I curled my upper lip and sneered at her.
"I told you, it's not a date! We're just friends. It doesn't matter what I wear!" I walked over to my bed and collapsed on the small space that wasn't covered in garments.
"Well, maybe if we dress you up enough, it'll become more than 'just friends.'" She raised her eyebrows and puckered up her lips. I reached behind me and chucked a pillow at her right as Amy and Christelle marched in both carrying a few pieces of clothing. I closed my eyes and groaned.
"This is ridiculous!" I exclaimed. They just ignored me.
"I think you should wear a skirt... something really sexy." Amy said, doing a funny little shoulder shimmy.
"You should just wear shorts and a cute t-shirt." Christelle said.
"I agree with her." I said. I smiled at her as I sat up on the bed.
"Yeah, well, me and Amy think you should wear a skirt or a dress, and we outnumber you." Dawn said.
"Um, sorry to disappoint you, dear, but there are two of you and two of us. It's a tie." I said.
She looked at me and rolled her eyes.
"You are currently emotionally unstable, and therefore, your vote doesn't count, so Amy and I do, as a matter of fact, outnumber Christelle." She grinned and started sorting through skirts and sundresses. I groaned and flopped back down. I decide to just let them choose my clothes for me, and as long as it was decent, I would just wear whatever they picked. I must admit, the dress that they chose was pretty cute. It was a knee-length halter dress with a red, white, and pink floral pattern. I wore it with a pair of pink flip flops.
After I had finished putting on makeup, they insisted on waiting with me in the lobby until Shaun got there. It was about 4:50. They decided that they wanted to observe him from a distance for now, and that when he got there, they would leave, and they planned to meet him another time. I admit, I was grateful for that. I loved these girls, but I was just concerned about the effect they might have on Shaun. We sat there gossiping about random things for about 5 minutes, when all of a sudden, Dawn had a mini-spaz attack. She pointed out the glass doors to the lobby, and we all saw a black Lexus driving up. He opened the door and stepped out and walked over to the passenger side of the car and leaned against it. He was wearing a pair of tight black jeans and a vintage band t-shirt.
"It's him!" Dawn whispered, extremely loudly. The group let out a collective "Eek!"
"He's even cuter in person than he is online!" Amy said.
"Oh my God, I can't believe you're going out with him." Christelle said.
I rolled my eyes as I stood up, took my purse, and walked away to a chorus of 'Good luck!' 'He's so cute!' and 'I bet he's a good kisser. She'll know by the end of the night!' I rolled my eyes again and pushed open the glass doors.
"Hey, Bobby." He said as he opened the door for me. I smiled and said hello as I lowered myself into the seat. He closed the door and walked over to his side of the car. He got in and started the car.
"I was planning to go to a restaurant on the beach, if that's okay with you." He said, glancing over at me.
"Oh, sure, that sounds great." I said, smiling.
