Pete's POV
After Tessa and Joe cast the spell, I blacked out. When I woke up, I realized I wasn't in Tessa's apartment and at what looked like the bar at a nightclub. My clothes also changed, I now had on a pair of black jeans, a white button down shirt, as a black tie. I looked around and saw Patrick and Andy were passed next to me. They both changed clothes as well. Andy had black pants and and black button down shirt on. Patrick looked completely different on the other hand. His hair was bleached blonde and fedora-less and glasses-less now and his sweater and denim shirt were switched out for a neon blue shirt and a jet black bowtie.
Loud music pounded in my ears. The room flashed with different lights as people danced around to the beat if the music.
"Uggghhh" Andy moaned, peeling his head off the bar. "Where are we?"
"I think we're in Jasey's head." I replied, looking around.
"Maybe. But where is she?" He asked.
Suddenly, Patrick made a low groan and pulled himself up off the bar. He looked around confused about where we were. He said something to me, but I couldn't hear him over the loud music.
"You guys stay here. I'm gonna look around." I said, leaping off my barstool. I made my way over to the dance floor, which was packed with people. Everyone was dancing and jumping along to the beat reverberating through the club. I turned back to the guys for a moment when suddenly I bumped into a girl behind me. Her drink splashed down my pants and the glass clattered to the floor.
"Oh shit!" She exclaimed. "That was totally my fault, I'm sorry!" She bent down and picked up the glass. When she stood back up and looked at me, I was completely stunned.
"No way." I muttered.
It was Jasey. She barely looked anything like herself. Her hair was bleached ice-blonde instead of its usual fiery red and all her tattoos were missing, even the small FOB crown logo behind her left ear was no longer there. She had on a skin tight bright red lace party dress with matching black heels and black nails and her makeup was done perfectly. To put it plain and simple, she was drop dead gorgeous.
"Hey," She waved her hand in front of my face. "You ok?"
"Oh, uh, yea." I managed to say.
She laughed, "Sorry about spilling my drink on you. I'm Jasey, Jasey Riddell. Who are you? I've never seen you around here before."
"Uh, my friends and I just moved here." I lied. "I'm Pete by the way. Pete Wentz."
"Well it's nice to meet you, Pete." She smiled. "Let's get out of this and try and get some of that out." She pointed to my pants.
"Sure." I agree with her as we both made our way off the dance floor and over to the bar by Andy and Patrick. Andy looked over at me and his eyes widened in shock.
"Is that who I think it is?!" He mouthed.
"You'll see." I mouthed back to him as Jasey grabbed a handful of napkins and dabbed them on my pant leg. "Hey, my friends are over there if you want to meet them." I suggested.
"Yea!" She smiled, "I'd love to!"
I led her down the bar over to the guys. Andy stared at her in complete shock. Patrick turned to see what Andy was staring at and his jaw hit the floor at the sight of her.
"Guys, this is Jasey." I introduced her to them. "Jasey, this is Andy," Andy waved, "And this is Patrick." Patrick didn't do anything. He just sat there slack-jawed staring at her.
"Hi." Jasey waved at the two of them then turned back to me. "What's with Patrick?" She asked.
'Crap' I thought. How was I going to explain that? 'You're his girlfriend in the real world and you play bass in a world famous punk band who got kidnapped by a bunch of psychos and now you're in a coma and possessed by a demon and were here to save you.' That even sounded completely ridiculous in my own head.
"You look like someone he used to know." I lied. Technically it wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth.
"Oh, okay." She was so bubbly that it was actually kind of unnerving. "I gotta run. It was nice meeting you guys." She waved goodbye and headed back out on the dance floor.
We sat in silence for a few moments, all completely stunned about Jasey.
Patrick was the first to speak. "Holy. Smokes. Who is that?"
"Like I said, that's Jasey." I explained.
Andy shook his head in disbelief. "What the hell happened to her?"
Suddenly, Tessa's words rang in my ears, drowning out the music. "More like what DIDN'T happen to her." I realized.
Patrick raised an eyebrow. "What?"
It all made sense now. "Tessa told us that this reality is similar to ours, but there are minor changes that drastically affect the victim's life. What's the one thing that changed Jasey? What's the one reason behind all of this? What made her who she is?"
Patrick and Andy both realized what I meant. In this reality, Fall Out Boy never existed.
