Take Me Back to the Start (Part 3 of It's Tuesday)

Chapter 7

Cameron POV:

Chase and I went home later that night.

We both sat on the couch to sort this all out, like we are supposed to.

I think it was time for both of us to actually have a talk.

He needed to just come clean to me now.

Whatever he was hiding was from him, was really bothering him.

"I believe you are not having an affair" I told him.

"I'm not.." He replied.

"You know, I'm always here to help you. Whatever it is, it is really bothering you, Chase"

Chase looked at me with a sincere look.

He was ready to just get it over with and just tell me.

"You know how Diabala died?"

"Yea.."

"Well he didn't just die.."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I killed him.."

And there and then, it came out.

This was the story, and this is the way he told it:

Chase really did feel about what he did that he even went to confession.

But, the absolution isn't what he wished for.

The priest asked him to turn himself in, and Chase got worried.

Well, whoever this priest was, doesn't really know how a confession works.

All I know is that it is recommended to turn yourself in, but it isn't required.

I'm not even Catholic and I know that...

That's just how the intelligence of Allison Cameron is.

All my life...

He didn't want Cuddy to even mention the M&M for this reason.

Foreman was his accomplice, who wouldn't tell anyone what happened.

So, he rejected the M&M too.

I don't really understand how House found out, but remember, House is smart.

Chase feared he would get caught.

But there wasn't really any evidence out there, showing he was responsible for the death.

But, this still burdened Chase.

That's why he didn't even want to step foot into Dibala's former patient room.

He would have flashbacks, remembering the night of his death.

With this burden he carried, he didn't want to burden me.

He would come late and leave super early, for simply all these reasons.

He didn't think I'd be there for him.

But, I had a plan that was best for me, and best for Chase.

Would this work out in the end?
