Chapter 14

Cameron POV:

The doctor was able to sent me home.

He wished me the best of luck, which is what I needed.

In the end, the doctor was really kind and caring.

And that's what I wish to be like for my patients.

Which reminds me that I need to find a new job.

Well, until I get better at least.

I followed the instructions given to me by the doctor.

Resting, sleeping, and eating is all that happened for the rest of the day.

The doctor was right about everything, and he knows his stuff.

Jen offered me some dinner that was served B&B style.

"Jen, thank you for everything, really" I told her.

"You are very welcome, Allison" Jen smiled.

Justin came by with one of his new creations.

Some macaroni crafts he had made with glitter and absolutely everything you can think of.

Justin was mighty cute and he just made me feel much better about everything.

He always had something to share with me or Jen.

I felt as if Justin became my own son, because I had seen him so much now.

It's not like I was going to steal him or anything, but still.

He was a good kid!

The doctor was right about me not sleeping well.

When I'd got to sleep at night, I would just stare at the wall, and think.

Usually, I was the queen of flashbacks.

I would have these suddenly memories come to mind.

The good ones and the bad ones.

But when I went to bed that night, I was sleeping much better.

The next morning, Jen and I talked about how my future would be like.

The future was something I did not want to think about at the moment.

But I had to face it eventually.

"So are you going to give him the papers?"

I thought about doing this, but not today.

Not today!!

"Right now is not a good time. He cannot see me like this" I told her.

He could never know about my medical visit or anything like it.

It would be too much, he can't know!

"But..." Jen started, but I interrupted.

"Look Jen, I know you are trying to help with us, but I can figure that out on my own"

I hope she wasn't offended by my judgement.

Jen needed to understand how I felt about this.

"Alright! I'll let you figure that all out. But what about getting a new job when you get better?"

"I could apply for some jobs at one of those local hospitals, but I haven't thought of that yet"
