Chapter 10

Cameron POV:

I was to go and live a life.

A life without Chase.

And on top of all that, I needed to find a new job.

"Need a little help?"

It was Jen.

She came? I didn't even call her yet?

"Jen? I didn't know you were here" I told her, surprised.

"I may have heard you talk to yourself when you butt dialed me" She giggled.

I looked at her and a soft smile.

"You can always come and stay with me until you get back on your feet" She offered.

"Sure" I whispered as she put her arm around me as we walked off in the night.

"Next time, turn off your phone" Jen joked.

A let out a soft giggle.

That night, Jen offered me a room in her house.

It was different, well, different then being back in my own room at home.

Sleeping alone was going to be hard to go back to doing.

I didn't sleep well that night.

That was one of the hardest nights of my life.

I woke up that morning, restless.

My hair in a big old mess.

People always tell me my hair is beautiful in a mess.

I usually just blush when they say that.

"Want some breakfast?" Jen asked.

Jen made some nice eggs for the family.

Her husband went to work, so it was just me, Jen, and Justin.

"No. I'm fine" I said as I walked back to my room.

I've been wanting more time alone ever since me and Chase separated.

I looked through my bag, I ran this photo.

Realizing that I didn't know I still had this.

It was the photo of Chase that a patient took when I worked on the team.

Chase eventually told me why he was smiling.

It was because he saw me.

That was one of the sweetest thing ever!

The photo showed his smile, as he looked at a photo the patient took of me.

As I looked at the photo, I started to tear up.

This photo brought so many memories back.

She was pregnant, and well, we saved her and her baby.

She was also one of those patients I would never forget.

But when I saw this photo, I thought of a conversation that I had with Cuddy...
