Chapter 21

Cameron POV:

Things had changed, as one year had passed.

I found a job at a new hospital working in the E.R

The job paid well and it was all convenient for me.

Chase decided to move out of my house, in which I wasn't at for so long.

I got a home not too far from the new hospital, which made things quick and easy.

He found a new place to live, but he still worked at Princeton Plainsboro.

I didn't hear from him ever since....

Jen and Justin came to visit me once in awhile to come check on me.

Justin would come and show me more of his crafts, even making one with my name on it.

My desk was already getting filled with all of his crafts.

I was so lucky to have him.

Then, I had met a guy who I bumped into in the street.

He was great and all.

Working at the fire department was hard for him, but he loved his work.

We became really good friends, but then he wanted to be more.

So, it happened, and we started dating.

Who knew?

A couple of months after, he had asked me to marry him...

I said yes, and we got married about a month later.

Then, I found out I was pregnant.

Plot twist?

Yes, now that was indeed a plot twist.

I had my first son and child in March, which was a huge month for us all.

My parents were happy to finally have a grandchild.

But, they were still concerned.

They didn't know that I divorced Chase until they came to look for me.

I normally didn't see them or talk to them too often, in which they feared my safety.

Sometimes they even asked him I was sure about this one.

Months later, I had heard about House's, what I call, lab rats.

Stacy, House's ex, and I were friends, so she told me the news.

House was in a fire and he was found dead.

Now that feared us all!

I wondered how Wilson felt, knowing that his good friend had died.

Going to his funeral was really hard for me, knowing how much House impacted my life.

I saw Chase there, but we didn't really make eye contact.

People had called out people to give their speeches.

I gave mine, trying hard to hold back the tears.

"He knew how to love.." I said.
