"Wait so if I can control an element of nature, which one exactly?" I stated still being sceptical as to what mum and dad were saying
"Well, have you never wondered on the thought of why our last name is Frost?"
"Ugh" I stammered, "Not really, why?"
"That's the clue, dear." Realisation becoming clear on my face now.
"Our name is frost as we can control the element of water." Dad stated
"Seriously?"
"Yes dear. You must however unlock your abilities first. As they were sealed to prevent you from finding out about them until that time was right." Mum stated as she walked back from the cabinet in the corner of the lounge with a folded piece of paper, placing on the coffee table before walking back over to dad.
"Honey, understand that we real did want to tell you but, now that you know we must leave you to understand that secrets which have been hidden from you until this time." Dad stated as he and mum started walking back to the car
Spring up from my seat I ran to the door, only to be prevented by a liquid membrane of sorts. "What, you can just leave me?" panic and confusion intertwined throughout my voice
Stepping next to the car mum said, "Rose, a time will come when you understand that secrets are hidden from the ones we love and you sadly must now keep a secret which is only known by a few. If answers are what you want then the map will help, but until we meet again we love you."
And as the last of the words left her lips I watched the car drive out of the drive way and down the road.Stood frozen as the torrent of water which was acting like a membrane of sorts blocking the door frame sunk back into the floor. Slowly falling to the floor it just occurred to me, "What the actual hell. You bliddy leave me with more answers than given and expect me to keep this secret."
*Time Skip*
After getting over the fact that my parents had just abandoned me with an ocean of questions, I decided if I wanted answers then I would just have to seek them myself.Walking over to the coffee table I pushed everything that was scattered across the glass surface allowing it all to tumble to the floor with a 'THUD', then spreading the map out on the table I watched as the toning and shading of the page revealing the different areas of mystic falls, every sketch allowing the age of the thing to be etched into its fibers, the creases and folds showing that it had been used more than once.
But what drew me to the more closely was the fact that the river running through the town was actually moving on the map, but more precisely the fact that a strange sapphire blue glow was radiation out from the waterfalls itself.
As I studied the map more I felt the strange glow of the waterfalls drawing me to that area more closely, deciding that if answers are what I'm looking for I might as well start at the largest source of water within the town, "Mystic Falls here I come." Stated as I collected the map and headed out the door, only turning back when it occurred to me that this might be the last time that I'm here
*Time Skip*
Following the map as I drudged down the drive towards the river, the darkening night letting the coolness in the air increase and the world around me becoming a little more eerie as the animals with in the forest retiring for the night.
As the gravel continued to crunch beneath my feet as I drew closer and closer to the river, I saw the strange sapphire glow which helped the falls give its signature name and also drew me to this place looking for answers.
Once I reached the river I contemplated the thought of taking the tentative step into the river and just ran with it, letting my feet plunge in the chilling water of the falls, allowing it to flood my boots and drench my jeans up to my mid-thighs. "Damn, Damn, Damn. That is flipping cold!!!" shouting at the top of my lungs
After getting over the initial shock of the drastic change in temperature around my legs, I started to the task of wading further and further into the river channel whilst I continued to follow the map.

Stopping once I had finally reached to falls, I was even more drawn to them because the glow was even more attractive as the sun began to set in the horizon, letting the glow become bright with each passing second.
The torrent of the falls crashing into the surface of the river and continued their course down the river, towards the town, drop dancing into the air whilst the falls kept crashing into the gentle flow of the river.
"My child, reach into the glow. Bring the glow within, out." A faint voice trailed through the air and landed upon my ears
"Who are you?" I questioned, even though I didn't know why
"That is a question for another time. The pendent is yours, so shall the element of water, let the abilities be unlock." The voice responded back to me
As the voice continued to trail through the air, the torrents of the water slowed to a trickle, allowing a soft glow to move from within the falls. My eyes followed it I found myself staring at a necklace of sorts, simple silver chain that hung around a pendent of a royal sapphire blue which continued to glow which the last trickles of sunlight danced through its fibers giving the appearance of waves crashing from within.
As the pendent came to rest within my hands I watched as they allowed the pendent to be clasped around my neck, gently the glow grew allowing a trail of glowing water to swirl around my feet, slowly growing in height until a vortex of water span quicker and quicker encircling me.
As sudden as the vortex of water had formed it disappeared causing me to slump into the water letting the water further cover me, only this time the water didn't cause my clothing to become wet, but continued to stay dry.
Looking into the surface of the water which reflected as if it were a mirror I was greeted with the sight of a different person, my once crimson red hair was now an ombre of blues which gave the appearance of water flowing down my head, and my eyes which once were shaded in a gentle grey in colour were now replaced with a sapphire blue which radiated a blueish glow in the moon light.
"Child, your answers you seek are hidden from sight. If they are what you now seek then the towns hidden secret is what you seek. The cave of nature is where you must seek, to let the secrets be leaked." The voice trailed through the air, only it sounded closer this time.
