Tanner's POV
Both Tyler and Daniel was tryna show off to Cora while Wil, on the other hand, was tryna stop them. I just stood up in the corner giving them space since they were having a race on who was gonna go first. Cora was still lying on her back looking like she was worn out because of last night. I stood there and waited like an idiot not knowing what to do. I was debating whether I should leave or not.

"Aghhh." She groaned when she moved.

"You okay?" I asked.

She looked at me as if I was an alien. "Where are the others?" She asked.

"You see, my brother and Tyler are tryna show off so Wil tried to stop both but no one conceded so now he's stuck with those two." I explained.

"And your here because?" She tried getting up but failed.

I wanted to help her but her face gave me this 'don't you dare' look. "Let's just say business is not my thing." I said.

"Well, I guess I'm not the only one." She tried to get up again but failed for the second time.

"Okay, that's it. I'm helping you." I said. She gave me a look. "What? You can't even get up on your own. Come on, I'll help you."

She didn't say anything but looked at the floor. Later on, she looked at me when she noticed I was leading her to her bathroom. "What are you doing?"

"Go take a shower and it'll help a little bit." I said.

Before she could start sassing around, I left and went to their kitchen. I looked for her helpers but to my surprise no one was there.

"Hello?" I asked. Huh. So weird. Swear they were in here earlier. Oh well.

Damn, everybody's leaving me today. Guess I'll have to make breakfast for her. I decided to make some banana pancakes for her since banana was the first thing I saw. I prepared 2 plates since my stomach started growling. The moment I got done preparing was when I heard footsteps. That must be Cora.

"Told you that would make you feel better." I said as I saw her walking down slowly as if she was still in pain. I helped her get down the stairs.

Her eyes searched around. "Where's everybody?" She asked.

"You tell me. I swear there were people welcoming us earlier and now they're all gone. Your house some sorta haunted?" I joked trying to see if it worked.

"Ha-ha. Very funny." She said sarcastically. "No need to make jokes. All I have to do is stare at your face, and that's when I'd start cracking up." She said.

"Oh look, you're actually making jokes. I guarantee you, there's no one hotter than me." I said confidently.

"Hah! You're expecting me to believe that? I feel bad for your parents especially your mom giving birth to a conceited child." She said. "What is that?" She pointed at the banana pancakes I made.

"That's called banana pancakes. And yes, you're welcome." I said.

"Oh it looks like shit." I stared at her blankly the moment she said that. Then I figured she was joking when she snorted. She took one and started filling her mouth with it. "It's actually not that bad."

"See I told you." I said. "Your body still sore?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes. "You just helped me get down the stairs what do you think is the answer?"

"Damn, calm down I was just asking. No need to sass around." I surrendered.

"Well, your stupid question deserves a stupid answer." She replied.

"You want some ibuprofen?" I joked.

"Very funny. I'm not on my period." She said.

"Calm down then." I said.

We got done eating. I'm doing the dishes since her helpers are off duty. I didn't want to make her do it since her body's sore.

"Told you I'm a nice guy." I said as rinsing the last plate. She was on the counter watching me do the dishes.

"You're somehow helpful today. Your mom will probably thank me for making you a responsible guy today." She said.

"So rude. A thank you will do." I guided her on the way to the living room.

"So, any requests madame?" I gave her the remote.

"Movies, I prefer." She said. "I wanna watch something scary."

She picked a movie and I played it for her. I glanced at my clock to see what time it is. How long do those guys have to be gone?

"You leaving?" She asked.

"Nah, I'll wait for them." I said. I looked for some popcorn and ice cream. She told me where it was and we had a movie marathon instead. The plan was supposed to be one movie only but oh well. Then I noticed something hard hit my shoulder. Cora is now sleeping. I turned off the tv and threw all the trash. Then I heard those 3 guys.

The 3 of them look like they're all worn out.

"Oh look you're here." Tyler said.
