ZARA
"That's it," Jay rubs her back as Zara throws up in the bush outside the ladies residential halls. "You're okay, you're alright."
Zara continues to heave into the bush. Jay continues holding her hair away from her face, and rubbing her back. When she straightens up and wipes her mouth with a tissue paper Jay hands her, she looks at Jay fondly.
"Come on," he escorts her up the stairs to her floor with much difficulty. To say that she is stubborn is an understatement.
He unlocks her room door and helps her in. She takes of her shoes clumsily and watches him stand by the door."Help me?" She pouts like a child, tangled up in her own bedsheets as she tries to throw off the second shoe.
He chuckles and goes over to help her. She takes him by surprise and pulls him into the bed with her.
"Do you want to kiss me?" She asks, drunkenly.
Jay's breath gets caught in his throat. He clears his throat and replies, "no.""I know you do, you're so nice to me, and i don't even know you, you know?" She looks at him fondly, her lips dangerously close to his.
"I… no." He replies, trying to pry himself out of her clutches. "This isn't right.""Oh but it is," she moans, "you're in my bed, we're holding each other." Suddenly she gets distracted. "You smell good!" She moans softly.
"Now really," Jay starts, pulling himself away and straightening his t shirt. "Zara, Zara listen to me." He grabs her face with one hand. "We can't do this. You're drunk."She plucks his hand away. "Okaaaay." She replies grinning.
Jay sits back. "Good. Now lie down and tr…"
Before he can complete his sentence, she interrupts him with a kiss. That get caught up for a few seconds before he pulls back, trying to catch his breath."You talk too much," she comments, lying down on her pillow and pulling her sheets up to her chin.
"I… " Jay takes a deep breath. He stands up and makes his way to the door. "Get some sleep," he advises."Stay with me?" She calls, hoisting herself up on one arm. She looks at him earnestly.
Giving in, he sighs. "Promise you won't kiss me again?"
"Okay, not tonight I won't."
"Good." He sits down at the foot of her bed and watches her sleep. Two hours later, he lets himself out of the room, and heads off to his own.
