LAURA
"Hi, darling," Michael comes over to her side, kisses her cheek and opens the car's door for her.
"Hi," she greets, happy that Michael is okay. She gets into the car and they drive off to Michael's apartment.
"You look beautiful," Michael compliments, smiling at Laura, who blushes.
"You don't look too bad yourself."Laura settled on Michael's sofa, watching him serve wine for the both of them.
He hands her a glass, and she takes a sip. "How was your trip?"
"It was okay. I missed you."
"Really?""Yeah," Michael sits down beside her.
"Why didn't you answer any of my calls, or texts, or emails?"
"Darling, you know i had back to back meetings, it was a dreadfully busy trip. I'm so sorry for worrying you so much." He leans in to kiss her neck.
Laura smiles. "It's alright, i understand. And did you get the promotion?"
"I won't know till Monday," he replies, intertwining his fingers with hers.Laura feels secure. "What's for dinner? I'm starving."
