LAURA
"How were your first two weeks?" Michael asks Laura.
They are both lying on the mat, having eaten already. Laura has her head on Michael's arm, and her arm is draped over his chest. Michael strokes it with his other hand.
"It was alright," Laura replies softly, trying to savour every moment she has with him. "We got a huge load of assignments from art history on Tuesday."
"And how's the shrew?"
"Michael!" Laura exclaimes half indignant half amused.
"Okay, sorry sorry," he smiles. "How is she?"
"She's struggling," Laura replies, glad to get it off her chest. "I'm actually worried about her. She isn't getting much sleep."
"Don't worry, babe, she'll be alright. Everyone fits in differently.""Yeah, i thought so too." Laura snuggles closer to Michael. "And how have you been?"
"Well, my boss hinted at a promotion today, but I'm not sure yet," he reveals happily.
"That's great!" Laura smiles. "I told you, you're amazing."
"Yes you did," Michael turns over to kiss her.Just then the mood is interrupted by Laura's phone ringing. "I'm so sorry," she whispers to Michael, sitting up. "It's Zara."
Michael smiles at her. "Go ahead."
"Nah, she can wait, I've had her all week." She declines the call. "Talk to me."
