I wake up, to my head throbbing and to the agonizing cries of others. I place a hand to my temple as I look around with blurry vision at the cells surrounding me, full of other people.
Where was I?
Suddenly, all of my memories come back to me. the battle, the men injecting me, being dragged away and thrown into a vehicle. I remember what happened.
I spring to my feet, but instantly regret it as my head pounds. I grip the bars in front of me, but pull back with a hiss when they burn my skin. I look down at my hands and take in the burns on them, made from the bars.
I looked around once more and saw an operating table in the center of the room. A werewolf was lying on it in human form, screaming, as the men operated on him. flashes of my past come through my mind.
That used to be me on that table.
"Hey, leave him alone!" I shout over the moans and cries of the other prisoners.
My bear's power leaking through into my words, making everyone go silent and the operators stop. They place their tools down and look up at me. I growl at them, making one of them sigh.
He removes his gloves and throws them into a trash bin, before taking off his lab coat.
"Take him back to his cell, I think I found the perfect candidate to show to the rest of the world," one of them sneers as he grabs a walkie.
"Bring me fifteen men, a few tazer spears, and tranquilizers, I think it's time to show the other's that werewolves are real," he says into the device.
"Yes sir!"
"The doctor stops by another cell on my way. Standing behind the bars, is an older man, weakened by the fight.
"You would be good too, I think I'll bring both of you," he muses, tapping his chin.
I growl at him, averting his attention from the man behind the bars, and back to me. I stood still as he approached the bars, a smirk plastered onto his face.
"It looks like you have quite a lot of fight in you, this will make a great show," he claps his hands together with a wicked grin.
I open my mouth to say something, but the doors of the prison open up, revealing ten men dressed in black with various forms of equipment in their hands. The doctor steps back from my cage, and motions towards me and the other man.
They nod their heads before moving in front of my cell. I growl at them, preparing myself to shift. As I try, my body goes up in flames, making me groan and slump to the floor as my body shakes from the aftermath.
They chuckle at me before swinging the gated door open, coming in. They had long poles with pieces of metal on the end, pointed right at me. As soon as the metal hit my skin, my body stated thrashing around and shocks coursed through me.
While I was crying out in pain, they snapped a color onto my throat. They had long metal poles hooked onto my color that they used to force me up, along with the tazer sticks.
I looked over and found the older man with the same problem as me. I struggled to stand, my knees weak from the shocks and my attempt at shifting.
Maybe when we got to wherever we were going it would be easier to get out, then I could come back for everyone here.

I fell to the cold cement floor, spitting out a glob of blood, as I recovered from the blow. In front of me sat an audience of a couple thousand people. Cameras were placed everywhere and newscasters were broadcasting on live television, watching me like I was some...animal in a fucking zoo!
"Shift!" one of the men behind me growled, kicking my side, before using the tazer spears.
I cry out in pain, rolling onto my back as I thrash around, my eyes catching on the crumpled brown wolf to my right. The old man had broken before me and shifted. Now he lies unconscious on the ground in his wolf form.
Before I could do anything to stop them, one of the doctors injected a serum into my upper arm, making me scream as it burned through my body.
I felt my body being forced to shift. My bones broke and I was shoved into my bear form. I stood up on shaky paws, glaring at the crowd. They thought this was fun. Was this what humans looked forward to? Watching people suffer and shift into different animals was their entertainment!
I let out a loud growl, causing many people to gasp and step back from the monstrosity, known as me. my side burned as a tazer was thrust into my ribs, causing me to stumble away from it.
I tripped over my chains and fell to the ground with a loud thump, while more spears attacked me. I snarled at them, but could feel my vision become blurry as I started losing consciousness.
"Ladies and gentleman, the supernatural beings known as werewolves are real, and so are bear shifters apparently. We need to get rid of every one of them, before they decide that we are their next conquest! We cannot stand by and let these...monsters take over. We are here to stay! he yelled into the microphone, causing the crowd to erupt into cheers.
I growled at all of them. We have been living amongst them peacefully ever since we have existed, and now they think that we are evil. With one more angry snarl, I pushed my pain aside and shifted, ignoring the gasps of the humans.
Before my captures could react, I kicked out, sending the men with the microphone toppling down to the ground. I lunged for the small device and brought it my lips, my voice coming out raspy and hoarse.
"We have been living amongst you ever since werewolves have come to exist, and now you think we are evil and want to kill all of you. If we wanted that, we could have wiped out your race hundreds of years ago, but we didn't. We just want to live peacefully..." before I could finish, the microphone was ripped from my hands and something sharp slammed into my temple, sending black dots across my vision.
I tried to stay conscious, but I couldn't fight it any longer. Darkness closed around my vision, but not before I heard the first gunshot followed my screams.
