I dragged the soldier behind me, not caring if he hit the stones on the ground, or I "accidently" banged him against another object. All I cared about was getting the location of their base so that I could go and get Bo, along with the rest of the wolves, back!

I threw him down against the pavement in front of me once I managed to get far enough away from the fighting. I spotted a spotted a toppled stroller to my right, along with a baby blanket lying down beside it. With a sigh, I walked over and grabbed the blanket, wrapping it around my torso, before moving back over to the soldier.

He was just starting to regain consciousness as I kneeled down in front of him, gripping his long red hair in my hand. I snarled at him as his eyes opened, causing him to flinch away from me.

"Where is the place you kept me! Where are you keeping the rest of the wolves?" I growled, letting my anger seep into my words.

"Awe, are you worried about your..." he starts, but I slam my fist into his nose, shutting him up as blood drips down his face.

"Where are they?"

"Why should I..."

My fist meets his Face again, causing a loud crack to sound overtop of the gunshots. He groans, his head slumping down to meet his chest, but I pull it back, forcing him to look up and meet my gaze.

"Tell me!" I snarl in a quiet, threatening voice, that makes him wince and shrink back away from me.

"I can't just tell you, it's hidden. I-I would have to show you," he mumbles, making my annoyance flare.

I slam my fist into his knee cap, causing it to bend the wrong way with a loud snap. He lets out a scream, before passing out form the pain. I smirk as I release his head, causing him to fall back to the ground.

With a sigh, I grab him again ,and start dragging him towards where I'm pretty sure Kai is. I was going to get Kai and all of the other wolves, before having this soldier lead us straight to the camp.

Suddenly, Kai's pain-filled howl pierces the air, causing goosebumps to spread over my skin. I drop the soldiers arm as I receive the message in the howl. Someone had just died and I knew that they were close to Kai, his father.

I tilted my head up to the sky and let the sound of the other sorrow filled howls wash over me. As soon as the howling was over, I felt even more determined than ever to get those wolves back.

I grabbed the man's arm and started dragging him once more. These humans were going to pay for everything they have done!

"Where to next?" Kai growled, tightening his grip on the van's steering wheel.

I glanced over at him worriedly. He had been distant and cold, which was understandable, but I was scared for him. I felt like he might do something stupid and get himself killed.

I heard Tommy growl in the back before punching our "guide" in the face. He lets out a groan, before speaking through a bloody mouth.

"Take the next left and go straight for another mile," he mumbles, slumping back in his seat.

Kai does as he's told and we soon park outside of a metal wall. I hop out of the car, before grabbing the soldier from the back by the hair and gripping his arm behind his back. I shove him forward towards the passcode pad.

His face meets the metal beside the bad as I slam it into the cool surface.

"What's the code," I snarl, pressing his face harder into the wall.

"5049," he mumbles.

I punch in the numbers and watch eagerly as the gate slides open. I pull the soldier away from the wall and shove him through the entrance, Kai, Tommy, and our remaining warriors surrounding us.

I look over at Kai quickly to see his jaw set and his hands clenched tightly into fists. My heart breaks just looking at him in this state. Is this what he felt like when he first met me, when I was so broken and damaged?

I look over at Tommy to find him barely controlling himself. I knew he missed Bo and was dying to get to her. Out of all the mated pairs I have come across, including my own, I think Tommy's and Bo's was the strongest. They were, without a doubt, meant for each other.

As soon as we reach the building, we come across another passcode pad. I tighten my hold on the man's arm, making him wince in pain.

"The code?" I press.

"666," he mutters.

"How fitting," I roll my eyes, before plugging in the numbers.

The door opens and I drag the soldier in with me, navigating the cold hallways. The groans and shouting of our pack mates brought us to a door. Tommy rushes ahead and kicks in the metal door with all of his might, sending it sliding across the ground.

We all stare down at it in shock, but Tommy pays no attention to it as he rushes through the prison cells, trying to find Bo.

"Bo, baby, are you okay?" I hear Tommy cry somewhere in the prison.

"Tommy!" she cries out in relief. "It looks like our roles are reversed this time. You're saving me from a cell this time," she chuckles, making Tommy burst out laughing.

"Well, I guess we don't need you anymore," I shrug, before hitting the soldier as hard as I can on the head.

He crumbles to the ground with an echoing thumb. I step over him and move to stand beside Kai, while the wolves help free each other. I place my hand gentle on his shoulder, tugging him to turn towards me.

"Baby, come here," I sigh, pulling him to me for a hug.

I didn't bother asking if he was okay, because I know the answer. He isn't okay. His father just died, the killer got away, and he was going to have to tell the rest of his family, but he wasn't alone I am going to be with him every step of the way.

"Kai, you aren't alone. I'm here for you, I'll always be here," I whisper, standing up on my tiptoes and brushing my lips against his.

I move to pull away, but his hand comes out and grips the back of my head, brining my lips back onto his. My awareness of all the other wolves fade away, as I wrap my arms around Kai's neck.

I knew that our future was going to be far from easy, with the humans common knowledge that werewolves are real, but this right here...

This right here was perfect.
