After a day of Victoria forcing me to spend time with her and help her move her stuff back into her dorm, she decided to have the Vortex club get together. I knew it wouldn't be a great idea, for fuck sake, they all go overboard. Victoria always gets way too drunk and I have to keep her from fucking someon. We went to the lighthouse before it was dark. It's hard to believe that I was here with Max yesterday. I didn't see her today, only when we woke up. I had to sneak out before anyone got back to the dorms.
"Hellooo, Nathan are you listening?" Victoria waved her hand in front of my face, snapping me out of my gaze. "Will you go get booze while I invite everyone?" I nodded and grabbed multiple bottles of Vodka, wine and rum from my truck. Along with at least six 12 packs of beer. I don't get why Vic wanted to come here tonight, it was extremely fucking cold and was supposed to rain later tonight. I sat down at the small fire pit and pulled out my phone, Max didn't text me at all today. I honestly missed her, I felt the way I did when I ran out of cigarettes. "Nate, light the fire, people are on their way." Vic said while grabbing a beer. I did as she demanded.

I finally got out of bed today after spending hours doing last minute schoolwork. Ugh fuck I'm hungry. I looked in my mirror, I looked tired, I fixed my hair and wiped my left over makeup from under my eyes. I slipped on my jeans and my pink Jane Doe shirt and sweatshirt. I grabbed my camera and bag and left my room. As I walked through the halls I noticed Danas door open. I hadn't seen her yet. "Hey Dana,"
"Max! Hi!" She jumped up to hug me.
"How are you?"
"Good! Happy to be back at Blackwell."
"You look pretty, where are you going?" Dana blushed,
"Well the Vortex Club are having a little welcome home party tonight. You should come, it'll be fun!" I contemplated it but we had school tomorrow. But, why didn't Nathan tell me about it? Oh Nathan, I could see him tonight.
"Okay, why the fuck not?" Dana was thrilled as she pulled me into her dorm and went to her closet. Her room was typically clean, she was still unpacking though so it was a mess. The tall skinny girl pulled out a black skater skirt and some dark tights and put them in my arms. I looked at her puzzled."Put those on." I didn't want to because I knew it would be cold but I didn't want to argue with Dana. She was one persistent girl. Dana looked like a supermodel, smoky eyes long brown hair and a cute silver dress. I got changed and looked in the mirror. The black skirt was high waisted and short but I felt like I actually could pull it off. I put some dark brown eyeshadow around my eyes with some mascara. We finally left after Trevor came and picked us up.

It was getting darker and colder. There was a circle of logs and lawn chairs around the fire. I sat on a bench that looked out over the horizon with a cigarette. I turned to check the flames while the jocks and Vic got drunk or high. Hayden sat on the ground with his massive bong. Another set of car lights appeared and three people hopped out. Trevor, Dana, and Max? Why did she come? My cheeks burned at her appearance. She had on her doe shirt with a short skirt. She looked so cute. I put out my cigarette and got up to meet her. "Max, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Dana told me to come, why should I argue with her?" I laughed and grabbed her wrist.
"I'm glad you came." I couldn't stop smiling at her, I didn't see her today, I was getting my Max fix."Max! What do you want to drink?" Dana called. Max looked confused but responded with a beer. I'm glad she came, maybe Vic and everyone else can see that she's a good person to be around. Speaking of Vic, she made me turn on music so she could dance.
