(A/N):

Okay so I'm sorry for the SUPER long wait for the next chapter! Right now I'm doing two stories at the moment. I'm doing a Niall imagine on Instagram and this one, plus school so it's a lot of responsibility and it's a lot to handle. So, just bear with me guys! Anyway, here you go!

Chapter 3:

I was snapped out of my thoughts by someone calling my name.

"Jade! Jade! Jade!" My mom was calling my name. She was standing at the door of the M.P., waving her hands frantically.

"Oh sorry mom!"

"It's okay love, just come on! We have to go!"

"Ugh okay mom! I'll be there in a minute!"

She walked off to the car.

"Hey Jules, I have to go."

"Aww, bummer. Well I'll talk to you later babe!" She waved me off as I started walking off of the school campus.

I took one last look at the boy that was leaning against the pole in the hall. He still had his face in his phone. He seemed a bit oblivious to the world around him. Something about seemed mysteriously intriguing. I liked it, a lot.

---------------------------------------------

The car ride was filled with music in the background and mostly silence. Me and my mom conversed about how excited I was for school to start and all of that, but we never really had a full-on conversation. We haven't really had a full-on conversation since, well since...the incident.

It's all behind you now. You've gotten over this. It's been 4 years. It won't haunt your life. It won't anymore.

I convinced myself that the incident was behind me and this was my life now, while I listened to the complete silence of the car ride.

Finally, I was home and I could just relax for the rest of the day. I got out of the car and walked to the front door.

The door was one of those old wooden doors. It almost looked like people that were rich would have it at their houses. It had a big golden knocker in the middle of it. It was painted a beautiful shade of brown.

Stop! Stop it right now!

"Jade? Jade what're you looking at?" My mom said from behind me.

"Oh nothing mom, could you just unlock the door?" I tried to change the subject as fast as I could. Over the years I've become pretty good at that.

"Umm okay. Are you okay love? You seem a bit spaced out lately." She said while unlocking the door and walking in.

"Yeah mom, I'm fine."

"Okay. If there's something wrong, you can always talk to me, you know that right?" Her expression seemed deeply concerned.

"Yeah okay mom, I know."

The truth is, I didn't know. I didn't know if I could come to my mom about what's been bothering my for the past 4 years. Or even anything else for that matter. I'm afraid if I told her or tried to tell her something I feel from the heart, she'll laugh right in my face and think I'm joking. I really wanted to tell her that I didn't know but I just..I just couldn't. Not now anyway.

I put on a fake smile and walked upstairs to my bedroom. I thought of my room as more likes hotel room. I had a mini fridge that was actually way bigger than most mini fridges. It was about half the size of a regular fridge. This way, I didn't need to come out of my room. I had a bathroom in my room, too. I had my laptop and my phone. That was all I needed in life, period.
