The alarm buzzed and Trisha woke up all cold and stiff. She had slept off without a blanket and now the cold morning was giving her goosebumps. She pulled out her jacket from her bag and wrapped it around her shoulders, a smile instantly stretching across her face. She didn't feel like moving in this cold but they were supposed to leave in an hour and if she didn't hop into the shower before Sarah woke up she wouldn't get to spend her own leisurely time under the warm running water.

She took her stuff and went into the bathroom. Peeping into the mirror her eyes still looked a little strained. She splashed water over her face and then started brushing still patiently scrutinizing her face. 'I have tanned' she sighed. She heard some noise outside. Probably Sarah had woken up. 'Whoops! Time to hurry up'

When she came out Sarah was standing right outside the bathroom door hands crossed across her chest. "I couldn't even brush! What took you so long?" Trisha gave her a teethy smile and brushed the accusation off. 'The eyes look different' she thought to herself.

"What did you say?"

"I didn't say anything"

"Oh okay"

"You look different somehow"

"What do you mean?"

'What is it?' Trisha was carefully scrutinizing Sarah's face. 'That's weird' she heard.

"What's weird?"

"You heard that?"

"What's going on?"

They both sensed that something was off. "It's your eyes! They have this golden ring around them. It wasn't there before!" Sarah went towards the mirror. It indeed was true. Trisha was standing right next to her. "Hey yours too." Trisha had noticed that before but she dismissed it as a reflection. Something was definitely off.

They sat across each other at the dining area. They were continuously giggling annoying the other kids sitting next to them.

'So you think this is a long lasting effect?'

'I don't know... But it's fun!'

'Who could've though yesterday's disaster could make something like this happen.'

'Are you it's not just our deepened bond of friendship due to the traumatizing experience we went through?'

'In any case, yesterday's fiasco gets the credit right?'
The girl sitting next to Sarah was getting genuinely annoyed. What were they giggling about continuously? And they hadn't even said anything in the past 15 minutes just giggles. "Are you two an item now?"
"What?" Trisha exclaimed.

"Can you get all lovey-dovey somewhere else? I'd like to have my breakfast without barfing. We have a long journey ahead of us."

Come to think of it, it really must have looked super weird. So they decided to continue their telepathic conversation a little later.
