The plan was already in motion. As they approached the nearest shop Sharan asked the driver to pull over and the the of them got down. One by one they entered the store, waited a believable 5 minutes and then walked out disappointment painted on their faces. Sharan suggested they look further and started walking ahead Trisha and Sarah right behind him. They made sure the driver was not following and took a turn leasing towards the hotel.
It was already beginning to get dark. The last rays of sunshine washing over the path giving it a golden glow. Soon they saw the resort they had started in on their school trip. Sarah too the lead carefully going round the main building. They tip toed along the way, soon the store room coming in view at the back of the resort. The wall was low enough at one place and they decided to climb over it. Whatever they were about to do had to be done soon enough.
Sharan jumped in first. He was followed by Sarah and then Trisha. Aditya trailed behind. It was a make or break moment. Sarah tried to jiggle the handle and the door ever so slightly squeaked open. The kids couldn't believe their luck! Never in all their lives had they gotten anything that easily. Slowly ad cautiously they walked into the storage room. Aditya kept an eye out while the three kids set up. Sarah had started feeling like she could set p for a seance even in her sleep. "It's started feeling like we're living in a loop, ya know." she sighed. They hurried up, just in case somebody showed up."And we're back to this." Trisha sat down. They were finally done and the decisive moment was fast approaching. Candles were lit, the board was set, they held hands and Sarah started chanting. There was a strong gust of wind. The candles began to flicker. Sarah and Trisha started feeling a strange pull. The past month flashed before Avidity's eyes. A lot had change in that time. He could feel it in his gut that this was it. Their efforts were finally paying off. Slowly and steadily there was a growing heaviness in the air. The windows began to chatter. Sarah continued chanting even though she was scared shitless. Both Sharan and Trisha held her hand tightly. There was a steady hum in their ears. Suddenly Trisha started getting out of breath. She was gasping for air, but they couldn't stop now. It was working. This was it. The door and windows opened with a bang, shattering the glass and startling the three. They jumped up in fear. Sarah kept staring straight ahead at the door. A dark figure looming at the entrance.
"A-Aditya?" she croaked. No response. The figure walked slowly and steadily towards them. The light flipped on and they knew it was trouble. It was the handyman again.
