I was laying in the Akimichi's back yard watching the clouds go by. As I was watching the clouds a butterfly flew above me. I sat up and put my hand out and the butterfly landed on my hand. i smiled and then it flew away. i watched it fly away but the my vision morphed.
i watched as the woman who i usually see held a butterfly on her finger smiling . she was sitting on a picnic blanket with three other men. they were all 5-12 years old.
"look Haru a butterfly." the young girl said.
"how do you do that, Nozomi?" Haru, the youngest boy said.
"i don't know, i just put my finger out and he landed on it." she said shrugging her shoulders and the butterfly flew away.
"okay you two get some food or you won't get any." the oldest boy said.
"yes big brother Takeo." Haru and Nozomi chimed.
they grabbed a sandwich and ate it. the two younger ones looked to the one who hasn't spoken yet. they looked at each other then giggled. they stood up and jumped on the boys back.
"big brother Ichiro what's up, you're not talking?" Nozomi asked.
"it's nothing just thinking about something." he said looking over to Takeo.
They looked at each other with worry. Soon a loud explosion was heard and my head snapped to where I heard it. The was a burning house and I could hear the screams and cries for help. Nozomi and Haru went to run to the burning house but were stopped by Ichiro and Takeo. They screamed and cried desperately trying to get out of their older siblings grasps. The ones holding them had tears in their eyes as they watched the house burn. My chest tightened and tears spilled from my eyes. It was like I could feel their pain.
My surroundings went back to normal and I gripped my chest as I shook. I tried to control my tears. I'm so pathetic I keep crying I need to stop! I heard the front door to the Akimichi's place open. I vigorously wiped my eyes not wanting people to see me cry. I then heard the back door open and I froze.
"Hey Hitomi, what's up?" Choji asked.
"N-not m-much." I chocked out.
A few seconds passed then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked to the side to see Choji peering at me with concern. I shook my head and turned away from him feeling ashamed for crying. Choji sat down next to me and rubbed my back. I turned to him again and he gave me a small smile. I leaned my head on his shoulder and let my tears fall freely. My breath soon synced with his slow breathing. I calmed down and looked up at Choji and gave him a small smile.
"What happened Hitomi?" Choji asked.
"Nothing to important."'I said looking down.
Choji was about to say something but I leaped on his back and gave him a huge smile. I then began to pinch his cheeks.
"Why do you always pinch my cheeks." Choji whined.
"Because it's fun, and I love your chubby cheeks." I said.
He sighed and let me play with his cheeks for awhile. However I was stopped when he abruptly turned around to face me. He place something on my head and I touched it to find out it was a flower crown. I giggled and gave Choji a hug.
"Sooooo cute." Rico gushed.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Oh nothing, you'll figure it out sooner or later." He said slyly.
I sighed but continued to talk to Choji and he put my hair in a braid thing.
