Draco's POV

"What are you doing here, Potter?" I ask the boy sitting on the floor.

He looks up at me."I didn't realize this was you territory. Sorry"

He's stands up to leave and I feel slightly disappointed.
Was I really this desperate for companionship?

He's halfway out the door before I decide to stop him. "Wait. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude about it. I was just curious and I didn't know anyone else came up here"
Yes. I really was that desperate.

He's gives me a small smile. "It's fine."he says quietly.

We look at each other for a few moments and I see so much emotion in those emerald eyes that it's overwhelming.

He still doesn't make a move to come back in, so I say, "Umm if you want to stay, it's okay. I won't bother you."

He turns around slowly. "I was just thinking, so you don't have to worry about me bothering you either." He moves his head towards me and throws another small smile my way as he walks back towards his spot on the floor. I smile back as I sit back down in my usual spot, which happens to be right across from the other boy.

The owlry isn't that big, so we aren't very far apart, but we're not up against each other either.

Even though we're just sitting in silence (because someone stole my car radio) it feels nice. I'm not sure whether or not it has something to do with Potter though. We have been mortal enemies since we were eleven, but I've just been isolated for so long and he doesn't seem disgusted by me.

I start writing in my journal again. Every once in a while risking quick glances at the other boy, and noticing the sheepish looks he occasionally gave me.
