Chapter 2: Sisters

The sun was high in the sky, blazing down on the cement of the school yard. The school was so quiet a pin drop could be heard throughout the entire school yard. A loud bell sound rang through the quiet school and soon the quiet school was filled with noise of students rushing to lunch lines and meeting up with friends. Hunter and Torey walked side by side laughing and talking. Alex runs and throws his arm around Hunter's shoulder.

"So whose this Hunter?" Alex asked as he walked beside her.

"A new friend which you shouldn't destroy her brains cells by talking to her."

"Hey I was just wondering who she was because she looks good, you should dress more like her." Hunter in annoyance pushes his arm off her shoulder.

"Why don't you go hang out with those idiots you love more then you love me." Hunter said begining to walk faster.

"Umm okay, see you after to school babe." Alex yelled as Hunter got farther and farther away from him.

"Who was that?" Torey asked, still in shock of what just happend in front of her.

"That's Alex my boyfriend of two years, but not going to be for much longer."

"Damn right, he's rude an arrogant. Why are you still with him?"

"Well my sister Sonah she's been in a relationship for three years now and I kind of want that to be me and Alex but he's so selfish and I just can't handle it anymore."

"You are your own person Hunter, you decide how your life goes not your family." Torey said to Hunter as they approached the table with two other girls.

"Hey Sam look Hunter got herself a new friend! Where did you find this one Hunter?"

"Mrs. Carlson' class, which by the way thank you for pissing her off for me."

"Hey no problem sis, You be a bitch to me I be a bitch back."

"Yeah but did you really have to be such a bitch that now she's going to think I'm going to be like you?"

"She pushed my buttons that's what she gets."

"So Torey where are you from?" Sam asked inturrepting the two arguging sisters.

"I'm originally from Montana, and moved here in September."

"Why would you come here?" Hunter smacks Sonah in the arm in anger.

"Sonah! You don't say that it's rude."

"Oh no it's fine I don't mind." Torey says.

"Ha! Take your slap back." Sonah states as she smacks Hunter back.

"OUCH! Come here you." The two begin to have a small slapping fight, when Sam interrupts them by sitting in between the two.

"Sorry for my childish sisters Torey, they seem to think they're in the 3rd grade." Sam apologizes." You were saying Torey."

"My dad got promoted in his job and had to move here so he could be closer to L.A. and that's how I arrived here in Fernwood."

"So were you in any relationships back in Montana? If you don't mind me asking." Sam asked kindly.

"I was in a relationship, but we had to break up before I moved to California. We both knew a long distance relationship would never work."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Sonah said.

"Well why don't we all go and get lunch, you can leave your stuff here Torey." Hunter explained.

"Okay. I'll follow you guys." Hunter and Torey set their things down and all four girls walked up to the cafeteria and began to wait in line for lunch.
