The sun rose above the hills of Fernwood, the rays slowly washing over the small town that was protected by the surrounding landscape. One of the rays slipped through the curtains of Hunter's room, striking her restful eyes. Hunter awoke and stretched in her bed. She rose out of bed and open her closet door to find the perfect outfit for her day's adventure. Hunter's phone vibrated on her dark wooden dresser, glancing around her back, she walked toward her phone. "Good morning beautiful." the text read from Torey. Hunter smiled and replied back, "Good morning." Suddenly a pillow flew out of nowhere and hit Hunter in the side of the cheek. Hunter awoke suddenly.
"Get up you lazy butt or you'll get the leftovers of breakfast!" Sam yelled running by her room.
"I'm going to kill whoever threw that." Hunter yelled as she jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs of the house.
"Sonah is all yours Hunter." Sam said moving out of Hunter's path of destruction.
"The hell Sam?!" Sonah said jumping out of the bar stool she was sitting on and began running through the house, Hunter trailing behind her.
"The girls! No running in the house!" A blonde woman yelled from the stove of the kitchen. Sonah screeched to a halt by the island in the kitchen, Hunter standing on the other side challengingly.
"Sonah, Hit me in the face with a pillow!"
"You were sleeping late again! Mom told me to wake you up."
"Gently, I said gently Sonah." The girl's mother stated
"It was a soft pillow." Sonah shrugged. A pillow out of nowhere hit Sonah in the side of the face.
"It was a soft pillow." Hunter said mockingly.
"Oh, now you're going to get it!" Sonah ran to Hunter while Hunter ran away.
"And this is why you're my favorite Sam." The girl's mom stated looking at Sam. Both girls screeched to a halt by their mother.
"Hey, you said you didn't have favorites!" The girls said simultaneously.
"And that's how you get two sisters to stop running in the house." The mom explained. "Now sit down and eat your breakfasts, you guys have rehearsals in half an hour."

After a half hour, the girls jumped into the black SUV and began driving to the high school. Hunter sat in the passenger seat next to Sonah with Sam sitting behind Sonah in the back. Hunter stared down looking at her phone smiling and typing, giggling every minute.
"So who has you giggling all the sudden." Sonah asked glancing over to Hunter.
"Is it Ruby?" Sam asked leaning forward, grabbing the driver's seat.
"No? Why would Ruby be texting me?" Hunter asked confused looking at Sam.
"Oh well, I just thought you guys got close the other day so I thought." Sam said leaning back in her seat.
"It's Torey." Hunter said looking back at her phone.
"Oh great." Sonah said annoyingly.
"What's that about?" Hunter asked locking her phone and looking at Sonah. Sonah parks the SUV in a parking spot near the theatre.
"It's just." Sonah sighed. "I don't think Torey is a good person for you to be hanging out with when we were fighting she kept you away from me and Sam."
"You can't be mad at her for that. She was just being a good friend by being there for me."
"I understand that you and I were fighting but she didn't have to keep you from Sam."
"What are you talking about? I never saw Sam but at home when we were fighting."
"That's because whenever She saw me she would direct you away from me." Sam said speaking up. Hunter looked back at Sam confused. "There were times when I would see you coming out of class and when Torey was next to you she would be talking to you, making sure your attention was on her and go nowhere near me. Then when I would be walking towards you she would grab you and take you somewhere else." Sam twiddled with her fingers. "I felt like she was trying to take my sister away from me, at a time when she really needed her sister."
"Sam, I-I didn't know that. Why didn't you tell me earlier."
"Becuase I remembered how happy you were when you and Alex first got together and I hadn't seen you that happy, until Torey and you met. I didn't want to take that happiness from you." Hunter sat speechlessly. "Let's get into the theatre, we are already late." Same opened the car door and stepped out closing the door and walked towards the theatre. Sonah looked at the car wheel distantly.
"Sam is the youngest one of us Hunter, and she is the last one that should be hurt. Just keep an open mind about Torey, and think is that the kind of person I want to be seen with." Sonah takes the keys out of the car, dropping them in Hunter's lap. She walked out of the car and closed the door. Hunter sat thinking and glanced down at her phone. Hunter takes a deep breath and begins texting. "Torey cab I tell you something?" Hunter's phone goes off a few seconds later.
"Sure, what's up." Torey sent.
"Torey ever since I first met you, you brought something out in me that I never thought was there. Torey, I think you are an amazing, beautiful and smart person. and I'd like to tell you how much I like you. Not just as a friend but as more than a friend." Hunter sends letting a big breath out. Torey doesn't respond, Hunter sits in the passenger seat waiting to hear her phone go off but it never does. Hunter grabs the keys and steps out of the car closing the dorr and locking the car. She walks towards the theatre thinking, knowing from this day on her life will never be the same.
