The Ties That Bind
Kailee to everyone else seemed to be taunting Tyrell the next Alpha. They had been watching the two of them on opposite sides of the room.
Tyrell had been seen as he watched Kailee like a hawk all week long. The pack sluts even stepped back as Tyrell growled at the lot of them if they got too close to him.
Mind you, that started when the sluts were caught ganging up on Kailee and Tyrell saw the effect on Kailee's face. She had just lost the last of her family and the lead slut made a comment that hurt her deeply.
But in fact, that night Kailee's mind was elsewhere. She having no family was making her think what to do now. She was only 17 and too young to find her mate. That happens when she turns 18.
She was on the last quarter of finishing high school and was thinking hard about going to University. All the others in her grade had already turned 18 some were finding their mates.
The pack had just had a mandatory meeting. Alpha Jay just appointed a temporary replacement for the Beta couple. The previous Beta couple were Kailee's Uncle Brice and her Aunt Beverly who had been struck down by hunters when out running.
The new temporary Beta couple were sent there by the Council of Werewolves. Their names were Oliver and Renee and they had a son named Raymond, who had all been previously trained for the positions.
Now Raymond was sniffing around Kailee and poking a bear and that bear was Tyrell. Truth be told is that Tyrell looked like he had paid no attention to Kailee until Raymond showed up and started eyeing up Kailee.
To everyone it looked like Raymond was charming the pants off of Kailee. From the nods and smiles they saw on Kailee's face, everyone was thinking the two were going to hook up.
Tyrell looked like his temper was going to explode, causing the pack members to keep their distance. Raymond was pushing his luck, he kept trying to touch Kailee all night.
Kailee though, if anyone could get through her shields and read her thoughts would see all she wanted to do that night was to run as fast and far away from Raymond's sweaty hands as she could.
She kept her face from showing her dislike for being touched. She looked everywhere but at Tyrell, trying to focus on keeping those hands off her.
It wasn't that she disliked Raymond, but she didn't know him and he covered up his scent so she couldn't smell him and that she didn't trust.
To keep his hands from touching her further, she moved towards the pack sluts. She hated those sluts with a passion, and again she blanked her face so no one saw as she tried to maneuver Raymond's attention on them instead of her.
She walked through the sluts hoping they would latch onto Raymond. He had a title that they all fancied for their own. Once Raymond was stopped, and she scented the sluts interest, Kailee made a run for it without looking back.
Raymond had been on her heels all night long. She had plans that of course didn't include him. She ran, headed outside then around the house and headed inside, then down to the infirmary.
She grabbed a bottle of scent blocker and covered herself with it, all under the shocking eyes of Doctor Paula. Then she went into an exam room and sat.
Doctor Paula put the sign out that she was busy and walked in, closed the door to the exam room Kailee was in. Kailee then dropped the block on her scent and said hey Doctor, I need a shot for my birth control. I would have come down earlier but I've been latched onto by Raymond and couldn't get the gnat off.
