The Ties That Bind
The clock was counting down the hour until the time of the last meeting was to be held for the pack. The current Alpha was passing down the title to his son.
Alpha Lorne was reluctantly handing the pack to his son Monty. To him his son wasn't prepared enough. The Council had gotten involved and were present to make sure the event happened.
Monty was eager, once the title passed down to him he was naming the next Luna of the pack. The Councilman on site took the stage, who was starting the meeting.
A good half hour later, the title or mantle of the pack was moved from father to son. Then Monty stood smug and proud now that he and his wolf were named and given the title, the first order was for the naming of the next pack Luna.
Monty grinned and called out a name, Corrigan Helen Haines. When she came out of the pack house, the pack went suddenly silent. As soon as she got on stage, Monty pulled back her collar and marked her already hickey's up neck before the pack so they all witnessed who he chose.
Most of the pack grit their teeth, but no words were said against his blatantly wrong choice. His father snorted and asked this is your choice of the next Luna? Monty yelled back yes.
His father then said in that case Monty, I request Council's involvement to seriously continue to watch over the pack seeing that Corrigan has no training, experience or the knowledge on how to be a pack Luna.
Councilman Ian yelled over the crowd and said I accept, the Council will stay involved seeing as we have not heard anything about this female Monty has chosen to lead the pack with.
Cassie was the first to reach Alpha Lorne. She grabbed his hand and used her new ability to calm him down. He has no mate anymore, Luna Sully was murdered by rogues a few years ago, so he was having a hard time dealing with losing his one and only.
Alpha Lorne spun his head to look at her, gripping her hand tighter in shock and not wanting to let go as even his wolf was eased. Cassie smiled as he lifted her hand to kiss it. She moved closer to his side and he wrapped an arm around her, holding her close to his side.
When the mantle of pack title was passed down, the pack mind link was unusable and now each member will have to create the new bond with the newly titled Alpha Monty and Corrigan.
Cassie was one female that will not be re-initiating back into the pack. Won't because she personally knows Corrigan and Cassie will never bow down to that selfish and disgusting, unworthy, evil, and ugly hearted bitch.
The pack members started lining up, Corrigan's friends shoved their way to the head of the line. Cassie whispered those are Corrigan's bitchy friends. They are really horrible. This pack just took a downfall now that Monty has chosen her as his Luna.
The Council better have more than one person watching out for the pack Alpha. He kissed her head and asked why? Don't you think Corrigan is a good choice of next Luna?
Cassie snorted and said between you and me Alpha Lorne, Corrigan is absolutely the worst choice of Luna he or anyone could ever have stupidly chosen. She is a horrible evil hearted bitch and I should know seeing as she is a distant cousin of mine.
Cassie had turned her body so no one could see what she was saying. Too many excited voices were very loud making it hard to hear.
She said I won't be in that lineup Alpha. I will not be re-initiating into the pack, not if I would have to bow down to her. I refuse Alpha Lorne. She added just so you know, Monty just lost his true mate when he marked that conniving bitch.
