The Ties That Bind
Nia braced for impact. They were doing a pack exercise for trust. Alpha Sam's idea that the pack members don't show enough trust in their fellow pack members.
She stood on the stage, turned around like told to, then leaned back. She was supposed to be caught by the members, but in her heart she knew she couldn't trust her fellow pack members.
When she landed on the ground, the breath was knocked out of her and Alpha Sam's growl was heard by all. The Doctor rushed to her and carried her away.
Doctor Chase was her step-Uncle who had mated to her aunt, who wasn't her true mate. Her parents had taken a runner and they never heard from them since she was 12.
After her parents ran off, her Aunt Bess was left in charge of her. At 14, her Aunt Bess had gotten pregnant and never survived. She was half way through her pregnancy and when in town had a sudden seizure. She died at the scene of the hit and run accident.
So her uncle Chase knew she was having problems with the pack. One pack bitch started a rumor about Nia's parents that caused the teens to distrust her. It was exactly what Sue meant to happen.
Nia's was 17, too young to find her true mate, but she had her wolf young and she was strong. Her strong wolf detested Sue with a passion.
She was taken down to the pack infirmary having a hard time breathing. When she could finally get her air back into her lungs, she said I knew it, I told you I can't trust any of them.
She was tested again as her Uncle didn't like that she was still pale and soon she was given another shot of antidote for the poisoning she had unknowingly taken as her Uncle growled they did it again, damn them.
A booster shot for her wolf was given too seeing as she needed it. He had his samples and soon sent that one off to Council as well, emailing the Council Doctor to expect it.
She soon crashed on the cot in his office as no one in the pack, not even Alpha Sam came down to see if she was okay.
The next day, in retaliation, when Sue came down to get her shots, her Uncle injected Sue to knock her out first. Nia stripped her clothes off and Sue was given a full exam and blood tests to determine if she was carrying any diseases or was pregnant before a birth control shot was given.
Seeing his distaste for Sue, Doctor Chase gave Sue a 5 year birth control shot, then one massive shot to stop the bitch from ever going into heat for that length of time too. He then injected her with wolfsbane, the same poison Nia was dosed with twice.
Nia cooked them food in their suite as he said it was too dangerous for her to eat any food upstairs. Nia lived in the suite, cooked and cleaned, did her schooling online and helped in the infirmary. She did so because she didn't trust the pack, not after Sue lied to everyone.
After he finished with Sue, he called a Warrior and had him take Sue to her room. He tossed the clothes Sue wore on top of her and said take her away. By the way, Sue carries the wolf rabies gene Warrior Alvin. Just saying, whoever she shares blood with, and I saw the bite marks so I know she's letting males bite her and therefore taking in her blood, so they will have it too now.
Warrior Alvin gasped and said you have to be joking? Doctor Chase said nope, no joke. I took blood from her and tested it. I'm also sending a vial to Council with a long letter on who I suspect she's infected when biting her.
Alvin stopped and said does Alpha Sam know? Doctor Chase said not at this time, I just finished examining her. The Council are the only ones that carry the treatment for the rabies gene, so I can't do anything more than report her as infected.
