After Kamiya put the boys down for a nap she ended up falling asleep with them so I went downstairs to call my dad to tell him what happened.
Dad- Hello?
Cameron- Aunt Gladys came and told Mikah he was adopted.
Dad- Why?
Cameron- I don't know. Mikah looking depressed again dad.
Dad- For what? He ain't adopted.
Cameron- How he not?
Dad- What you mean how he not? He came from my dick.
Cameron- You told me he was adopted.
Dad- I never said that shit.
Cameron- I swear you said don't tell Mikah he's adopted.
Dad- You making up shit now I never said that.
Cameron- Uncle Tip said that too.
Dad- Tip probably said all that shit. He wanted to get with Monica when I was with her and claimed they fucked and said Mikah was his son. He told y'all I adopted Mikah because he wanted Mikah to be his son.
Cameron- How are you still cool with him after all that?
Dad- He was on drugs back then.
Cameron- Damn
Dad- Tell his little ass to suck it up. He ain't adopted.
Cameron- Alright
I hung up the phone and went downstairs to sit on the couch. I soon heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Cameron can I talk to you?" I heard Jamila ask
I turned and she was standing by the stairs.
"Yeah wassup?" I asked
She started walking out back and I followed her. She sat down near the pool and I sat beside her.
"You okay?" I asked
"No." She said
"You know if you wanna talk to someone about what happened you got me, Kamiya, Mikah and the twins. You can tell them anything because they have no choice but to listen." I said
"I feel depressed and like I shouldn't be here." She said
"Why would you feel like that? We all love you in here." I said
"Because of what I did. I caused this on myself. I put so much stress and pressure on the most important people in my life. This is Karma." She said
"Jamila that aint no damn karma. No matter how you treated us you didnt deserve that." I said
She didn't respond.
We just sat looking around the yard and it got awkward.
"What yall doing? Its hot as hell out here." I heard Kamiya say
I turned and saw her with Mikah holding the twins.
"Dad said you aint adopted and that you came from his dick so stop crying." I told Mikah
"Yall are so blunt." Kamiya said walking out.
"So I am your brother?" Mikah asked
"You always been my brother. Even if you were adopted you would always be my brother." I said
