''Take the left door on you're right. All the way down.'' Lexis whispered, putting her weapon away as she stood up.
They were all still at the swimming pool. Moriarty had the left the building and was now god knows where but Juliet had to make herself unseen and quiet as a mouse if she was to find him. She couldn't risk being seen by John and Sherlock. What would they think? ''Oh I just came for a swim!'' wouldn't do it, not this time. Everything was now quiet now one dared talk, not even whisper. Only the quickened breathing of Holmes and Watson could be heard.
''Don't do anything you might regret.'' Kol stated looking down at the gun on the floor, ''Remember who he is, otherwise you might make the news tomorrow.''
''What the hell are you even saying this time?'' Juliet asked halfway out the balcony's doors.
''You might wake up naked tomorrow morning with a large hole in your forehead.'' he teased pointing to his forehead.
''You seem to be talking from experience.'' the brunette mocked closing the doors behind her. In the background, she could clearly hear Kol mimic her exact words, making a wide smirk appear on her lips.
What was she to say? What on earth could she tell him as she finally saw his real side? How do you respond so seeing your date try to kill your two friends? She only had approximately five minutes to think of something to say. Five minutes before she opened the door and stepped outside. Right into the wolf's mouth. She would be stuck in an endless fall, stuck between his sharp teeth and claws piercing through her tender heart.
She had made it at the bottom of the staircase, all she had to do now was turn to her right. Slowly turning her head to the right, she could feel a hole in the pit of her stomach. Was she scared? Was she excited? Perhaps a little of both. She arrived behind the door. Lifting her small hand, she found herself trembling. Her palms were sweaty and heavy as she tried to push the door open. Not even daring to look at the person a few away from her, she looked down as she walked the small flight of stairs that brought her to the street.
He was standing tall on his feet. His chin held high and wearing a wide grin on his face as he looked at the woman coming down the stairs, his hands tucked behind his back. Behind him was parked a large car. Stopping in front of him, she looked at him through her long eyelashes. He looked terrifying from this perspective. None made a sound. It was a comfortable silence yet the woman was unable to say anything.
For the first time in her life, Juliet Waters was terrified. The man standing in front of her was insane, worse than her and she didn't know how to react. A mix of shyness and intimidation crept all over her body. A few minutes ago she could not wait to see him yet now all she could manage to spat out were little sighs and barely audible utterances. She was stone cold, paralyzed but most of all frightened to the bone.
''Mr. Moriarty.'' was all Juliet finally managed to spat out quickly. After a few seconds, she finally got the courage to lift her head up and look directly into his cold, emotionless eyes.
''Miss Waters.'' Jim smirked, ''Did you enjoy the show?''
''Perfect performance, fooled anyone. Fooled me and that's saying something.'' she replied, getting more comfortable and loosing up her tensed shoulder.
''As for you, Juliet Waters.'' he said spitting out her name like venom, ''You didn't fool me. I noticed it the first day I saw you in the corridor at Barth's. I noticed the emptiness in your eyes, the blood you slowly licked off your lips, the darkness in your mind fuming out of your brain. You clever. Cleverer than this lot, yet insane.'' he ended with a smirk.
''Takes one to know one.'' the brunette answered returning the smirk with one as well, ''Now; now where shall we go, dear?''
''Dinner?'' Jim asked opening the door to the car.
