-Baskerville-
As both Juliet and Sherlock walked, they were immediately stopped by one of the military man who led them through the barriers and towards an entrance to the main building. As they walked, Sherlock looked around at all the men patrolling the area, many of them armed. Even the scientists in the white lab coats were being escorted. As the approached the main entrance, a military jeep pulled up in front of them and a young corporal got out.
''What is it?'' the young corporal asked, ''Are we in trouble?''
''Are we in trouble, sir.'' Sherlock replied sternly, correcting the man.
''Yes, sir, sorry, sir.'' the man named Lyons answered. Nevertheless, he stepped in front of them and held out his hands to prevent them getting nearer to the entrance.
''You were expecting us?'' the detective wondered as his eyebrows furrowed.
''Your ID showed up straight away, Mr Holmes. I'm Corporal Lyons, security.'' Lyons stated, ''Is something wrong, sir?''
''Well, I hope not, Corporal, I hope not.'' the tall man sighed as he shook his head.
''It's just we don't get inspected here, you see, sir.'' the man responded with confusion, ''It just doesn't happen.''
''Ever heard of a spot check?'' Juliet remarked, arching her eyebrows. She then took out a small wallet from her pocket and showed a certain ID, John's, to the corporal, ''Captain Juliet Waters, Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers.'' closing it before he could fully look at it
''Ma'am. Major Barrymore won't be pleased, ma'am.'' the corporal said as he lifted his hand and saluted the woman; Juliet returned the salute, ''He'll want to see you both.''
''I'm afraid we won't have time for that.'' Juliet lied sternly, ''We'll need the full tour right away. Carry on.'' she remarked and as she saw the young corporal hesitating, her voice dropped, no emotion in it, ''That's an order, Corporal.''
''Yes, ma'am.'' Lyons replied as he spinned around and walked towards the entrance.
Sherlock glanced across to Juliet, cocking his head as he smiled proudly. They followed close behind the young man. At the entrance, on which was marked 'AUTOMATIC SECURITY DOOR', Lyon swiped his pass through a reader, and then patiently waited for Sherlock to walk over and do the same with his own pass. The message 'ACCESS GRANTED' appeared on the reader. Lyon then quickly pressed a button and the locks on the door disengaged. The detective checked his watch and nudged the girl on his left to warn her about how much time they had left.
Elsewhere, probably a long way from Baskerville, a message flashed up on a screen:
CCV1 • security authorization requested •
holmes, mycroft • priority ultra
processing CCV1 •
5555*0000*x1 //5894
Right after, the security request from Sherlock's pass instantly began to process. At Baskerville, the door swung open and Lyons led the two inside. The young corporal led Juliet and Sherlock towards the next security door. Reaching the door, Lyons swiped his pass once more and then stepped aside for Sherlock to do likewise. As he did so and another "ACCESS GRANTED" message appeared, the authorization request was sent out again.
The doors slid open and the other side revealed a metallic elevator. The Corporal quickly led them inside. Lyons pressed the -1 button and the doors closed with a loud noise, opening shortly afterwards on the next floor down. The man led them out into a brightly lit and white tiled laboratory. As they walked forward, various scientific staff dressed either in white coveralls including full breathing masks, or lab coats and face masks walked around the lab. On either sides of the room, were large cages. As the three of them made their way past them, a monkey screamed and hurled itself at the bars towards them.
