6.Where are you Dakota

I waited and waited...and waited, she had said to go to the car Right? Yeah I'm sure she did so...what was taking her so long, I know she hated me for what I did to her, but I can't help but feel love for her sure I don't show my affection correctly but it feels like I'm trapped in a fairy tale where I'm the villain and she's the sweet princess.

As I got out of my car I walked up to the house to see what was taking her so long, that's when a  scream burst from in the house I rushed in as fast as i could.

When i entered in the house i was greeted by the strong smell of iron that's when i had realized....it was blood someone was bleeding I ran into the halls downstairs and found my little brother Caleb standing outside his room door rocking back and forth I whispered to him "Caleb" he looked up at me then I noticed he was covered in blood I immediately started to panic but he spoke with pain in his voice "I'm sorry Dan Dan" I wanted to smile at the fact he used a nickname he gave me when he was three years old.

"What happened" I asked Caleb in a soft voice, his head sprung up yet again but this time his tearful gaze met my worried eyes "it wasn't me I swear, she was only trying to protect me" I felt my inner wolf becoming worried, knowing she could only mean Dakota "What....Happened" I repeated myself but this time I tried not to let my anger show that's when Caleb spoke.

"Dakota came in....and I had just woke up...and I saw her, I made her promise she'd play hid-and-go-seek with me but she told me later because she was leaving with you.....I went down stairs to get water" Caleb stopped talking and wept for a second but continued "then.....Th-three men came in through the back door wearing all black with masks on I tried not to make a sound....but somehow they found me then they spoke "she wants you dead" they kept saying it over and over again until Dakota came down she looked at me then at them and spoke to them "What are you guys doing here....why are you holding Caleb like that....let go of him" but all they did was look at her an speak "you..need....to..die" that's when one let me go but the other launched himself at me with a knife...... Dakota sh-she jumped in front of him to protect me.

My heart dropped it felt like someone had just squeezed the life out of my heart....she can't be gone not when I haven't fully proved how sorry I am..not when I wanted to let her in " Wh-wh-where is she" I whispered with a painful tone Caleb's shaky hand pointed to his bed.

Slowly and silently like my footsteps would make this nightmare come true I crept around the bed, Tears of anguish, pain, anger and sorrow hit me like a tsunami I was drowning in my own pain as I looked down at Dakota lying on the floor her eyes still open were cloudy.

Her skin a deathly white, all color drained, her chest lay still but it was coated in thick blood, her mouth formed that of one screaming in pain as of she were going to say something but it was too late....I was too late.

I fell to my knees as a dark force of reality hit me, it was pushing Dakota's death in my heart, I tried to hide the tears as I looked at Dakota's lifeless body on the floor "k-kota" I cried out hoping she'd just get up an give me an annoyed response like she always did but....this time she didn't.

I gazed down at my knees in her blood I thought to myself "even in death she's beautiful" that's when my emotions all came rushing into Me, I felt like I was being attacked I couldn't catch my breath I missed her laugh and how she accidentally snorted and an tried to hide it, I missed how wide her eyes got when she found something amusing.

I miss how she'd fiddle with her hair when I made her nervous, I kept looking at her lifeless corpse and I wept missing how she'd pout when I made things difficult for her, but looking at her on the cold floor made me realize I miss how warm she was the day she laid on me and let me hold her.
