Danny's P.O.V _______________________________________ I smelled the purest fragrance when the clock struck twelve I looked at Dakota and it was like her skinned glowed to me and I could see her wolf she was so radiant and beautiful i couldn't take my eyes off her, my wolf slowly started to surface I couldn't control my body and out of nowhere I felt this pull and I was face to face with Dakota in what felt like a second, I felt Dakota tense up which I was guessing was because of how quick I moved to her to the fact she didn't even see me move I could hear her heart beat in her chest the sound was becoming unbareable it was all I could hear as my hands touched her body I whispered in her ear "Happy Birthday Little Mate" she gave a blank expression then looked up at the clock which struck twelve, as I made my way closer I whispered to again "I shall claim you now" i began to kiss down her neck touching her skin made my wolf wanna break free an howl I couldn't stop myself and just as I was about to sink my canines into her neck and claim her for my own my father Marcus approuches us looking ashamed and guilty behind him was a much a younger male who seemed to be around my age but almost three years older he walked closer to Dakota and aloud he spoke "my mate I've finally found you, your scent was one I couldn't ignore" as his words left his mouth she hid behind like she did when Jackson attempted to be her mate.
He continued to speak to Dakota and acted like I wasn't there which made my wolf extremely pissed "Excuse me for being so rude I am Theodor Randall the third, Alpha of the Death Pack I originally came to continue the pact I had with the Bodolf Pack but once your sweet aroma hit my noise I knew you were my mate" I listened to my mate growl aloud and I knew she was no longer holding Kota back she spoke "I'll make things easier for you....I just matured officially so my scent may have just confused you but my mate is Danny not you now back off" but instead of him getting the hint and backing down he gave a devilish grin and spoke back "I like your wolf she's got spunk and seems like she'd make Theo a very happy alpha just give me a week and if it's true that you aren't my mate I'll leave but continue the pact with the Bodolf Pack" my mate growled once more and sat there in silence after awhile she nodded her head but after doing so I saw the pain settle on her face Theodor spoke once more "I didn't catch your name" she turned around while still holding my hand trying to lead me upstairs she had the most, annoyed look on her face and he chuckled "I only ask my mate or shall I say potential mate this question because I'll be staying here.... wolf's code" Everyone looked at my father Alpha Marcus and he cleared his throat and started to speak trying to choose each word carefully "He----uh----he is r--ri--right..... wolf's code says that if a Alpha finds a mate who is already paired with her mate he has to live in the same house for a week to win her or he will have to wait till his mate is revealed to him....th---tha--thats the code" I was three steps away from breaking my father's neck how could this happen but I needed to just let this week pass so me and Dakota can continue on with the claiming stage if we don't she will fall right back into heat and I don't feel like restarting that process with her right now, I looked at Theo as he was becoming situated with his room and he stared back at me smiling I gave Dakota a kiss and masked my scent all over her she went upstairs to go lay in my bed so her entire body and hair is masked in my scent I walked down to the room he was given which strikes me as strange since he got the room that Dakota was killed in, he ended up getting Caleb's old room I knew he wasn't to be trusted but for him to take such a low blow like that means he knows things that aren't supposed to be discussed out of this house.
