His golden eyes bore into my blue ones, pulling my thoughts in. I pulled back, shielding them, being completely taken off guard.

He knew everything.

While he got us our usual, we had a mental conversation.

"You too?"  I asked.

"Yeah, I told you, I grew up with your mother. I just didn't mention it was back in the 18th century."

"How old was I, really, when they tried to kill me?"

His mind said he didn't want to tell me, but he did anyways, "You were 6. I didn't want to do it, but your dad thought you'd be safer if I wiped your memory. Slowly, we started introducing everything back, and here you are, alive."

"Not for long."

"They don't stand a chance against you and Lavender."

I smiled, breaking  the contact. Luke was completely oblivious as Aaron handed us our ice cream.

"Where are Nicky and Tracy?" Luke looked up.

"They're upstairs if you want to go see them." Aaron smiled.

Luke got up, "You coming?"

"In a minute." I smiled.

As soon as he left, Aaron came over and sat with me.

"So, Nicky and Tracy..?"

"Developing. Melody trains them more than I do." He spoke of his children so fondly.

"Do they know about me?"

"Tracy figured it out first, then Nicky. That's why she's always been attached to you more than Luke."

I took a deep breath, "I better go up and see them."

"Wait," He pulled something out of his pocket, "It's from your mother. I promised to give it to you before they come."

I opened the envelope, where there was a check in my name for 10 million dollars. My eyes were wide, along with it was a normal key and a set of car keys. I ignored the letter, mainly because I was still in shock from the check, and I didn't want to add to that. I also wanted to wait until tomorrow and I was with all of my boys. The final thing in the envelope was a locket; I opened to see a picture of me as a baby, my dad, and my mother. I gasped, looking up with tears in my eyes. I added the locket to the chain that held her wedding ring.

"Thank you, Aaron."

"Just remember, don't give up. Alanna believed in you, your boys believe in you, your dad does, and so do I."

"Can I ask you to do one more thing for me?"

"You want it back?"

"Please."

He nodded his head, restoring the memories he took from me, "There you go."

"Thank you, for everything, Aaron. Just please, keep Nicky and Tracy safe, no matter what."

He nodded his head as I walked upstairs.

"Today was so much fun!" Luke laughed as we walked back into my house.

"I know." I tried to smile, knowing what had to happen next.

He pulled my tiny figure into him, "I wish we got to do this more often, I miss you so much, Lacy."

I felt the tears spill over as I buried my face into his chest, holding him closer, "I miss you too."

"Hey now, no crying. Let's put a film in or something." He pulled me down onto the couch with him.
