Being able to actually communicate with the others is relieving, and much easier than trying to signal what we want. After our first conversation, we made up more specific symbols to represent different things and practiced with those.
"Are there more symbols that need to be made?" Savvy communicates to the rest of us.
"I think we have all we need for now," I symbolize, and the others nod in agreement.
Abhinav suddenly gasps and face palms, and in almost perfect synchronization, we all do the symbol for "What is it?".
"The computers," he frantically symbols, "we need to communicate using computers, too."
Galeno mumbles something under his breath, and although the rest of us can't understand what it means, the tone of it assures most of us that it wasn't a nice word.
Savvy starts to make symbols in Abhinav's direction. "You are a genius of technology, can you find a way to create the symbols on the computers?"
Abhinav takes a bit of time to review the question in his mind, then symbols back, "I think, but I will need Savvy's (we forgot to make a symbol for "your") and Cailey's help. I need Cailey to create the symbol images and Savvy to help with the hacking."
As we huddle around Abhinav, I see the timer reads 8:00. It will be close.
