Ruki Mukami
"Let's talk about this over dinner. Ruki, could you take the fool to his room to wash up," Reiji ordered.
"His room?" I asked, wanting to know which one of the multitudinous amount of rooms in this godforsaken mansion I would lead the new Livestock to.
"Leave it to a bastard to not take a hint," Reiji maliciously insulted me.
I narrowed my eyes at him, tilting my head back, and waving my hand at the Livestock. "Come on, Livestock, get your jacket and coat and follow me," I said, making my way towards the room's exit.
"Livestock?" He questioned with confusion and anger coloring his tone.
I smirked without intent to answer him. "I may have eternity, Livestock, but you do not. Hurry up."
He picked up his previously discarded clothing; while, I assumed, my brothers and the Sakamakis disappeared to the dining room. Livestock quickly followed my lead, beginning our long journey through the haunted mansion.
"Why is the mansion so huge?" He asked, shrugging his black jacket back on.
I sighed and explained the situation. "Though this mansion is large, it is not as widespread as it seems. She has her own personality, corresponding to Karlheinz' three wives who perished here. They love to play tricks on those who currently reside here. If you enter certain rooms; for example, in the music room, you can actually see the phantoms of one of the wives."
The boy's eyes widened. "All three of them? How? Why?" He paused. "He wasn't married to all of them at once, right?"
My lips tipped up on one side as I answered his questions. "Yes, he was married to all of them at the same time as it is considered normal to have more than one partner as a demon lord and most demons marry incestuously as well," I paused, pondering on whether I should tell him the stories of the demonesses' deaths. "I think it would be in your best interest if you figure out their... situations on your own. Either from them, or their sons; though, for your sake, I hope you don't bring it up in conversation," I warned, stopping in front of a bedroom door. "This will be your quarters for the duration of your stay." I opened the door for him, motioning for him to enter.
He thanked me as he entered his room and I followed him, wanting to see his reaction to its attire. He froze after taking a few steps inside and looking around. "Is this a joke?" He asked, seriously, turning to look straight at me.
"If it was, it wasn't mine," I chuckled. The room was decorated with pink carpet, white lace curtains, and birch wood furniture. The walls and bed linens were pink as well, and there was another white lace curtain fixed to the bed frame.
Looking away from the feminine décor, I tasted the air, searching for the scent of Edward's blood. However, the scent he gave off was covered with the metallic stench of automail limbs. I shook my head, trying to ignore my instinct to pounce. "The bathroom is right through that door," I gestured toward it; before, continuing, "I'll be waiting here to lead you to the dining room."
He thanked me for a second time; before, entering the bathroom to do as I said. My fangs ached with hunger and curiosity for the new Livestock's blood. My throat was so dry from my lack of feeding; that, I started coughing and lost my balance. I covered my mouth as I stumbled sideways into the birch wood dresser; which, I gripped so hard that it splintered under the pressure.
Black blood began to spill from my mouth as my coughing fit continued. I felt someone come up behind me and force my hands up in the air to try and ease the coughing. Slowly, very slowly, my coughing subsided, and my throat had become even drier than before.
