****EMMA'S POV****
Three Weeks earlier.London, the New York City of Europe.
This city was a cultural hub and I was so excited to be here. Especially with Nathaniel.
"Isn't this exciting?!" I said as Nathaniel and I stepped out of the airport.
"Hell yeah!" He responded.
Him and I always dreamed of traveling the world together and believe it or not, London was supposed to be our first stop.
Something about this city intrigued me. It's rich history and architecture always attracted me here. I was just happy that I was here with Nathaniel.
"C'mon Nathaniel, let's go explore this city before we get back to work" I said to him as I grabbed my belongings.
"Slow down Emma" said Nathaniel as he grabbed his stuff, "let's settle in first."
"Fine fine, but I want to explore this whole city" I said back.
He nodded and we started walking towards where the taxi parked. Things were looking good for us, everything was great.
Nathaniel and I had a blast the last eight months. I invited him to Florida to meet my family.
My family lived in Miami and I was so excited to be there. Seeing my old friends and the rest of the family was the highlight of my trip.
Also, walking by the beach with Nathaniel holding each other's hand was the best thing I could ever ask for.
We stayed in Miami for about two months, which was pretty long in my opinion.
Then Nathaniel invited me to go his parents house in Seattle. I got to meet his sweet family and his old friends. He was quite a popular guy back in Seattle, literally everyone knew him!
I guess since he was a really good baseball player and was once part of one of the city's team for teens, his name got around and people got to know him.
Every time we went to a local restaurant or to a local park, people would randomly run up to him and say hi. It was weird but it was also fun. I didn't know Nathaniel was that popular in Seattle, it was actually kinda cool.
We also met with Ethan who was in town visiting his family. We saw him for only a day because he had to go on his own private vacation. He told us how the governor gave him a flying ship after he passed his flying test.
He also told us that he needed some time alone but that he was planning a trip to the Caribbean and was going to call us to go with him.
We told him to call whenever he was ready to see us again. He nodded and the next day, he left for his trip. I guess he needed time alone to reflect on everything that happened in the past couple of years.
I think everyone needs time alone from time to time. I think is healthy for people to reflect on one's accomplishments and failures. This allows us to grow as people and into better ones.
Anyways, after five months, he called Nathaniel and I and told us that we were finally going to the Caribbean.
I've never been to the Caribbean, but based on what my Cuban friends told me back in Miami, the Caribbean is where it's at.
The weather, the people, the FOOD... Everything is good down there. I couldn't wait to go with my friends.
Nathaniel and I left Seattle and flew to the Caribbean.
We spent some quality time with the group. I got to see Dylan, Nancy, and Nicolas again and I also got a break from the spotlight.
Things were going great until Nathaniel and I got a call from the new president of the United States.
