Egyptian Crisis: Part Two

Yesterday was a very interesting day. I had my first meeting with the president of Egypt and I learned how stubborn he can be. Don't get me wrong, he has improved many things in the country. He has expanded education by doubling the number of schools, he has lowered the poverty percentage by half, and everyone seems to be happy about his rule.

However, he chooses to oppress the minority in his country. By choosing to let benders be oppressed by others, he's telling the international audience that he does not care about them.  He proved this claim yesterday when he disapprove the plan the UN sent him. But I still have six more days to come up with my own solution.

Emma and Nathaniel were still in London finishing the peace treaty so I couldn't call them and tell them to come over and help us. Nancy, Nicolas, and Dylan had nothing so it was up to Alexia, Luis, and I to come up with something.

As of right now, we were all inside my hotel room. There were papers everywhere and the table was filled with empty coffee cups. This place looked insane.

"I got nothing guys" said Luis who was sitting on the floor with dozens of papers on his lap.

"Alright, maybe we need a break" said Nancy, "maybe if we clear our minds, then something will come up."

"As good as that sounds, we only got six days to figure things out" said Alexia who also was on the floor.

"Well if you think about it, that's about 144 hours, which is a lot of hours" said Nicolas.

"Irrelevant" said Dylan.

"Maybe she's right" I said, "maybe we need a break... How about we go outside and walk a little?"

"Are you sure Ethan?" Asked Alexia as she stood up from the ground, "time is tight."

"I'm very sure" I said and smiled, "Besides this is our only chance cause you never know if we'll be banned from this country in the future."

"Alright" said Dylan, "I'm ready to get out of this hot tight room."

"I'm with him" said Luis.

"Okay fine, but we'll have to come back to this tomorrow." Alexia responded. She was very serious when it came to work, I feel like she sometimes forgets to take breaks. She's young, she should be having fun.

"Okay cool!" I said excitedly. I grabbed the keys from the table and opened the door.

Each of us walked down the sidewalk taking in everything we could. The smell of different kinds of spices, the sun shining on our skin, the sounds of vehicles going down the street, everything was different.

"See guys, this isn't that bad" said Nancy as she smiled at us.

"I know! I  needed this break" responded Alexia.

"You're welcome" said Nancy as she laughed.

"Guys look!" Said Nicolas while pointing his finger towards a store, "let's go in and see what they got."

The store was just one of many lined up in the street. However, the white paint covering its walls made it stand out from the rest of the other stores.

Just like tourists, we decided to go in having no idea of what we were doing.

It was an interesting store that contained everything you could imagine. From golden necklaces to small statutes of Egyptian gods, this store was a gold mine for tourists looking for a gift to bring back home.

"Hey Ethan, look at this" said Dylan while holding a miniature copy of the Pyramids.

"Emma is going to love this!" I said while taking the small Pyramid away from his hands, "she likes miniature copies of stuff."
