****ETHAN'S POV****

"Do you think I did the right thing?" I asked Dylan as I stared at the TV in my room from my bed. The news anchor's words about how serious the situation in Laos was becoming was awakening my anxiety.

"Ethan," said Dylan as he sat on the soft edge of my bed, "we all supported your decision to wait it out and see if the UN could come up with a better plan" he grabbed one the pillows that were beside me, "I think you did what you thought was right."

"I know but it has been three weeks now and it seems as if the situation is getting more serious as each week passes by. Ever since the meeting, about 40 benders have been captured and killed" I turned to my side with my body facing Dylan's back, "I feel responsible for that" I whispered.

"It's not your fault Ethan" Dylan turned around while placing his right hand on my left shoulder, "Akyla is the one at fault here" he finished his sentence as he made circles on my shoulder with his point finger.

"But what if things were different?" I sat up and faced him, "what if we would've stopped her by now? Maybe Alexia was right" I paused, "we should've gone."

I brought my knees up to my face and hugged my legs while burying my face in them. I felt something heavy on my back; I felt as if all of those lives were piling on top of me, making it hard for me to breathe.

"No Ethan," he got closer to me while grabbing my chin and pulling it up from my knees, "the worst thing for you to do right now is to doubt yourself... You were right, that plan was not a good one..." he paused and moved his hand from my chin to my hair and started playing with it, "just because you're the avatar, does not mean you have to solve everyone's problems" he said as he stared at my hair, twirling it around like a mini tornado, "at the end of the day, you're still human."

" I know I know" I pushed his hand away from my hair, "I know I shouldn't be stressing myself over everything but I just cannot help but to worry" I stood up from the bed and stood in front of Dylan as he looked up at me from the edge of the bed, "This is my responsibility. I represent every bender in the world and it's my Job to make sure they are kept safe."

Dylan looked down at his socks covered feet. He then looked up at me again with worrying eyes. He starred at me for a few seconds while the roomed filled up with the sound of the TV. He grabbed the controller from besides him and turned it off, he then got up from the bed to be at eyes' level with me.

"I understand that" he approached me, "but you also need to make sure you're safe too... mentally. You won't be able to help others if your mental health is deteriorated" he paused and grabbed my right hand. His warm fingers touched my cold ones and warmed them up as the seconds went on, "Lets go and drink some tea. I think that will help you to calm down a bit. Wouldn't that be nice ?"

"I suppose" I said with my head down as I looked at his thumb caressing the side of my hand, "that'll help me."

"Good" he responded and led me out of my room.
