Chapter 9 - Welcome home

Waiting at the airport was annoying since Lilly hadn't talked to Lola for a few days and actually wondered if she was on this flight, Chase stood next to her completely worried of what would happen when she did return, his wound from Hayley a few weeks ago was still noticeable however now he didn't wince as much, only if someone leaned on it but apart from that it's only a scar.

As the plane from New Zealand came into few Lilly started to become anxious about whether her friend was on that plane or not, both her and Chase stood as it came into the loading dock and let the passengers out. One by one people flooded the waiting area, faces neither of them recognised until a girl that they did walked out with a guy close behind her, she aimlessly searched the area looking for someone, once her eyes landed on Lilly she smiled, she looked behind her to the guy and gave him her back, then ran up to Lilly and gave her the biggest hug ever imaginable.

"-missed you" was all that Lilly heard between cries as Chase came behind them and joined in. The guy that she had walked in the airport with looked at them with appreciation, she had many time told him how little her friends group was but he never believed it, this was a girl who understood everything and  yet she had the smallest group of friends know to man but from the sight of things she didn't care and she probably never did. Lola broke away to take her bag from Kyal and they started walking to the car.

They put the bags in the boot of the car and started driving to Lola's house Kyal secretly taking glances at his best friend sometimes who was asleep, glancing out the window or talking to Lilly and Chase in the front seat, they got to Lola's house in just under an hour and she opened the front door turning off the alarm since no one was home, Lola quickly gave Kyal a tour of the house while Lilly helped herself to Mac 'n' cheese while Chase sat on the couch and watch TV. She showed him to her room and put his stuff on the floor, then walked out and started playing Injustice with Chase while Kyal talked to Lilly. Eventually she got up and put in Lollipop chainsaw and started playing that.

After hours of chatting and playing games Lilly and Chase left the house leaving Lola and Kyal alone, she went back to her game while he sat next to her watching as she decapitated zombies with a chainsaw.

"There your friends huh?"

"Yep" she answered with out taking her eyes off the screen. Noticing that he was trying to start the conversation for once she continued to play the game,

"So when's your prom?" he asked her.

"2 weeks" she replied remembering the date like the weekly timetable,

"Shouldn't you find a dress?"

"I did, its coming" she stated pausing her game to look at him "ordered it online it should be here next week I think" she confirmed yet slightly confused she resumed her game and continued to play. "You can have a shower if you want, top switch on the outside wall for light, bottom for fan and temperature controlled in the room." she explained. He walked through the house to the bathroom, walls were half covered in white tiles with patterned tiles in some areas with brown tiles on the floor. After Kyal had his shower he went out into Lola's room to get changed passing the walkway into the room she was in, "quickest shower ever" she shouted as he walked past. Shutting the door behind him he looked around, her walls were cream with brown carpet and blue curtains, she had a built in wardrobe and wooden dressing table and bookcase, there was a table that she had made herself in-between her bed and dressing table. Her bed was wooden with iron designs through it.

He walked out with track pants and a t-shirt into the room with her in it on the phone,

"what do you mean? Ok calm down, explain this again, yeah, uh-huh, well what do you want me to do, WHAT! no way, no he's getting dressed after the quickest shower in the world, talk later k? bye" Lola hung up and face planted into a pillow. "Why is life so unfair?" she muffled,

"who ever said it was fair?" he answered her question with a question. She looked at him with eyes that had a flash of pain and sadness but she successfully hid it straight away, "what's up my dear friend?" he asked sitting next to her careful not to sit on her. No answer. "Lola?" she looked at him, "what's wrong?" he asked more seriously.

"nothing" she stated and walked into her room shutting the door behind her only him to follow into it and shutting the door behind him. "I swear I shut that" she said to no one in particular,

"well now I opened it to close it now tell me what's wrong" he pushed further.

"Nothing" she told him almost yelling at the fact that he was trying his ways again, he would push her until she told him what was going on.

"fine don't tell me" he stated before kissing her just like in his day dream with her responding immediately, moments later he pulled away and looked at her.

"why did you do that?" she asked curious about the whole thing entirely,

"I'll tell you if you tell me what's wrong" he grinned. dam my curiosity she thought to herself.

"why should my problems be any concern of yours?" she asked him half yelling,

"because your my best friend and I don't want you to be feeling down when you should feel happy and good about yourself" he yelled back.

"what makes you think I'm not?" she snapped in frustration, "You got the group of friends that you wanted, I got 2 people that mean the world to me because they are all I have to stay sane and not do anything stupid" she slapped him and left the room slamming the door behind her walking into the bathroom she started to calm down when her phone rang again.

"what? she snapped down it,"

"you guys had a fight didn't you?" Lilly asked on the other end forgiving her instantly.

"only a small one" she replied a little calmer, glancing out the door way she found that Kyal had access his steam account and started talking to whoever it that he was talking to.

 "but it's still a fight" Lilly remarked, Lola could just see the smile on her face.

"ok i guess your right, i'm guessing you didn't call to talk about a fight so whats up?" she asked ignoring Kyal completely and walking into the kitchen to grab a drink,

"the sky" Lilly replied sarcastically,

"nice now tell me the nature of your call." she demanded,

"why i called was because you forgot when prom was, you think its in two weeks but its really one week-"

"i dont think that at all, i said my dress come in in two weeks-"

"you said a few days" Kyal shouted interupting her, she ignored him again.

"what ever talk tomorrow" was all she said before hanging up.
