Sam's P.O.V..

It had been a couple of days but still there was no sign of Darren anywhere at the prison. I couldn't help but wonder how he could just completely vanish, no matter what he must be around here somewhere, he was either dead or alive.

"Sam?" Dale questioned, waving a hand infront of my face.

"Sorry." I apologised quietly. "I was too deep in thought, what did you say?" I asked and he just smiled down at me.

"It's fine. I was just wondering what you were thinking about." He responded quietly and I shrugged my shoulders.

I was thinking about too many things to explain to Dale exactly what was going on in my head so I just smiled and gave a nod.

"Just Darren. I just wonder if he's still alive or not." I whispered and he nodded.

"I understand but there was a lot of walkers in here Sam. If he was alive I think we would have seen him around here by now." Dale reasoned and I nodded. I knew he was right but, even though I wasn't the biggest fan of Darren he was still part of the group. Part of the family.

I was about to close my eyes and rest my head on Dale's knee when movement in the field caught my eye.

"Daryl." I whispered, causing Dale to turn his attention toward the field.

"What's he up to now?" Dale questioned pulling out his binoculars. I was thinking the exact same thing, why was he in the middle of the field on his own, but then it hit me.

"Carol." I breathed out quietly. "He's going to the grave." I added and Dale gave me and understanding nod.

The past few days Daryl would reach the gate and stop, unable to actually make it all the way to her grave but today was different. I watched as he reached in to his jacket pulling out a white flower and placing it down.

"He misses her." Dale said softly and I nodded in reply looking up at him as he squeezed my shoulder.

"We all do." I stated simply before turning my attention back to Daryl who was making his way over to the RV.

He stopped at the bottom by the door and called up to me.

"Yeah?" I asked popping my head over the top of the RV.

"I'm heading down in to the tombs." He stated and I immediately jumped down.

"I'm going with you." I said confidently but he shot me down straight away.

"No way. We don't know what it's like down there." He argued and I nodded, a smirk playing across my lips.

"Then I'm going on the supply run with Maggie and Glenn." I retaliated and he went to speak but I held my hand up.

There was no way he was going to be keeping me inside the prison, I needed to be doing something to help the group.

"Fine." He huffed as we made our way inside.

"See you soon Dale." I called and he gave me a slight wave as I walked inside with Daryl at me side. I walked straight up to the cell and placed my weapons on my belt before turning and heading towards Maggie and Glenn's cell.

"Where are you going mom?" Harry asked quietly whilst tugging on my hand.

I looked down and could see the worry in his eyes so I bent down to his level.

"I'm going on a run with Maggie and Glenn." I answered, placing my hands on each of his shoulder's.

"Do you have to go?" He asked in a whisper and I nodded my head.
