The sun goes down and we finally find a small, worn out house to sleep in. There's only one bed.
"Take it." Sam says to me. I would like to sleep in the bed, but after all I said, I don't deserve it.
"Nah, you take it." I can tell this will be an argument I won't win.
"Ella. Get in the bed right now or else I'll throw you in there myself."
"Fine, fine." I hop on the bed and take off my boots. "You know you don't have to do everything for me, right? Like if you want the bed, take it. I'm fine on the floor."
He rolls his eyes and walks over to me, putting his hands on my cheeks. His hands are warm and soft. "I will always put your needs before my own and nothing will ever change that. No matter what you say to me." Well that's one way to shut me up. I smile and put my hands on his. The things he says to me give me butterflies. I soon pull back and lay back in the bed.
"You know you can sleep up here too if you'd like." I tell him.
"Really?"
"Ya. Come on up." I pat the spot next to me. I hear him lay down ten seconds later.
"Thanks." I can hear the smile on his face.
"I think you deserve it after how I hurt you today. I'm really sorry."
"Don't be. If you love someone, you love someone. It's not something to be ashamed of. I'm definitely not ashamed of who I love. They are too perfect." I can feel his eyes on me. I think he's referring to me so I smile, my eyes still closed. "This has been a hell of a ride, Glorian, and I know we've just begun."
