Author's note-
(If you don't like stories where Draco is actually bad this isn't for you, otherwise keep reading!)Eliza woke up to a blinding light. After starting to sit up and failing, she realized that she was tied down to a sort of wooden board. Someone entered the room and her heart froze when she heard who it was.
"The Dark Lord was going to appoint someone else to see to your demise, but I thought that I'd like to have the privilege of doing that myself." Draco Malfoy said.
A million thoughts rush through her mind,
"Draco? What is he talking about? Why isn't he rushing over to free me? Where am I!"She turned her head to see him walking towards her.
"Draco- it's me. It's me Eliza!
What are you doing?!"
She asked, frightened. The Malfoy laughed in a hollow voice.
"Eliza, you didn't actually believe me when I said I wasn't a Death-Eater did you? Did you actually think I loved you? Did you think I cared about you?
No. You were a mere distraction from the anxieties of life. I never felt for you. Your type is not pure. You are my enemy! That is why the Dark Lord ordered that you be captured from Hogwarts and killed!" He shouted. His shoes sounded across the wooden floor as he walked near to her.
He then bent his handsome face down towards her and added in a whisper,"That means one less Muggle-born in this world."
By this time Eliza tears had already drenched her cheeks and she turned her head away from Draco.
Was the past year all for nothing? He had lied to her. He wasn't full of love, He was full of hate. A Death Eater! She closed her eyes and tried to control her rapidly beating heart.
She was going to die.
Draco was going to kill her.Draco picked up a long piece of rope and pulled on it. Eliza gasped as the board that she was lying on started to move upwards. After a few moments the board had been tilted so far that her face was hanging directly over over a large barrel of water. Fear radiated from her and before she could quite grasp what was happening,
Draco let go of the rope he was holding-
sending her head into the water.Eliza's lungs screamed for air. She didn't get a full breath before he sent her plunging into the cold water. Her body shook in protest to be let out. She choked on the liquid and started coughing, which allowed more water to enter her lungs.
Suddenly the board pulled back up.
Eliza's wet hair hung all around her face as she coughed uncontrollably.Draco looked down at the shaking figure and smirked.
"Would you like to be let down now?" He asked."Y-yes," she coughed.
"Alright." Draco replied and released his grip on the rope, sending Eliza once more, into the water's darkness.
The Malfoy leaned against a wall and crossed his arms as he watched her struggle.
Perhaps he had liked her, a little bit. But it was a mistake, for Muggle borns had no place interacting with Malfoys.
Or anyone of magic for that matter.
His loyalty was to the Dark Lord alone."No attachments."
Voldemort had said to him just a week ago.The Dark Lord had also told him that it was an honor to capture and kill muggle-borns.
He said that He favored his followers who did this.Voldemort had said in his slippery voice,
"Your family needs more favor from me Draco. I have not been pleased from what I have seen. You must strike cowardice and attachment from your character. Do whatever is necessary."Draco snapped out of thought and looked back at Eliza. Her movements had lessened, she was almost still. He fought to keep any emotions from slipping into his heart.
He would not show weakness.
He needed favor. He straightened up, walked over, and kicked the barrel away. He untied Eliza's unconscious form and pulled her off the board and onto the ground. The young Death-Eater waited for her to regain consciousness before pulling out his wand.
"Crucio"
She twisted and screamed in anguish. He intensified the curse and kicked her over and over again with his boots. Blood flowed from her many cuts and she wept and begged for him to stop.
"Please Draco! Pl-please stop!" Eliza cried.
But Draco only hardened his resolve.
He yanked her bleeding body up and dragged her over to the barrel. She struggled against him, but he was too strong."No! No please!" She screamed and pushed against his grip.
"Goodbye Eliza."
He forcefully pushed her head down into the water one last time as she fought against her impending fate. The barrel shook as she struggled for air. Draco maintained his stance and held her down and he stood over her.
After a couple of minutes her figure went limp. Draco released his grip and dropped her wet body on the floor.
He straightened out his dampened shirt and walked out of the room to report to the Dark Lord.
