Recap:

{"Hermione,"
Draco whispered,
"I was poisoned." }

"What?"
Hermione asked in disbelief.

"Are you absolutely positive it was poison?"

"Yes. Madame Pomphrey was clear."
Draco replied.

"But there's one more thing."
He added.

"The type of poison she described was specifically used by Death-Eaters. The way it felt, the poison is supposed to bring out your worst fears. Death-Eaters thrive on fear-

Hermione,
someone's out to get me."

Draco finished.

"Why would someone want to hurt you Draco? The war is over and everything is back to normal.
Many students at Hogwarts don't particularly like you, but I don't think any of them would go so far as to murder you. I highly doubt that any of them are Death-Eaters."

Hermione whispered.

The Malfoy replied,

"What if-
What if the war isn't completely over.
What if part of Him really is still alive?"

That's the only scenario that makes sense. He and some others loyal to him got word that I abandoned the darkness. So He's sending his servants after His former followers. I failed him on a mission before the war ended, and then I deserted him.
He wants me dead."

"Draco, you're thinking irrationally. I mean- how did you even come by the poison? What do you remember?"
Hermione pressed.

"Hermione, I am not overreacting. If you do recall, I was a Death-Eater for a while, I'm pretty sure I can tell if I am being pursued by one.

Also...
I vaguely remember running into someone before everything started. But I can't tell if the person was real or part of a vision."
Draco replied.

"Let's focus on getting you better, then we'll try and figure this out. Okay?"

Draco nodded.

"I'm going to sleep now, Goodnight Dra-"
Hermione got up to leave but stopped when Draco grabbed her wrist.

His eyes were afraid, but he quickly tried to cover up the emotion.

"Um, do you think you could maybe-
Would it be alright if you stayed?

Please?"

Draco asked quietly.

"I suppose so."
Hermione answered in a whisper.
She looked down and saw that he was still holding her arm. He began to pull slightly on her arm, beckoning her to sit on the bed.
Hermione sat down next to him and just looked.

Slytherin looked at Gryffindor.
The Pure-blood looked at the Mud-blood.
Silver eyes looked into hazel ones.

"Hermione,
Why do spend so much time with me? I'm sure there are loads of people here that you'd be better off hanging around with."

Hermione stared into his eyes, but her gaze slowly traced down his face.
The two students slowly moved nearer to each other, until they were nearly touching.

Draco reached over and lightly brushed Hermione's cheek.

Hermione, in a barely audible tone, whispered,

"Draco, kiss me."

The Malfoy's eyes ran up and down her face.
He leaned forward and did what she asked.
They pulled apart, but only for a second. The two fell back into the bed, and fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms.
