Tina was walking home one evening. Normally, she would use magic to get over to her apartment in a jiffy, but today was different. Today, she felt hollow and lifeless. Her work was the same as it had been every day. Sit behind a desk until something exiting happened. Nothing had, by the way. Not since Grindewald had been captured. So basically, she would sit behind a desk until it was time to go home.

Somehow, her thoughts went from work to Newt. Yes, Newt. She thought of him almost every day now. The sound of his velvet- like voice, his shy smile that made her feel dizzy, his eyes that always seemed to be changing from green to blue. His caramel color hair, his hand that had a bite mark on it. He was always so handsome in her memories. She longed for him, longed for his return, his book. It wasn't all about the book, honestly. Not that she wasn't excited about that, but she missed him more. If he returned and didn't have the book, she would be just fine with that.

The smell of strawberry pie wafted into her nose as she climbed the stairs to her apartment. She opened the door to see Queenie making dinner. Tina hung up her large coat and her gumdrop-shaped hat before asking Queenie, "What's for dinner?" "Awwwwwww!" Queenie cooed. "You've been thinking about him again haven't you?" "Shut up, Queenie. I don't know why it's such a big deal," Tina said, but her ears turned bright red. Queenie simply laughed. "It's so obvious! You have a bad case of the crushies!" Queenie squealed. Tina tried to cover this by lighting the candles.

"Why are there three plates instead of two?" Tina asked. Queenie gave a sly smile, gesturing to an envelope on the coffee table nearby. Curious, Tina opened it and gasped. There, in loopy handwriting, was a letter that said;

"Dear Tina,

I hope this letter finds you in good health.  I have finished my manuscript, I am proud to say, and am on my way to deliver your copy. I believe I will be there the evening of June 1st.

Your Friend,

Newt Scamander"

Tina looked up with alarm. Today was June 1st! A knock sounded on the door, and Tina practically sprinted to it, throwing it open.

It was Newt. He was twice as handsome in person than he was in her memories. His eyes were a crystal blue, partially concealed by his caramel hair. She threw her arms around, which startled him, but he quickly returned the affection. His scent engulfed her. He smelled of the earth on a warm, sunny day when the sun seems to almost scorch the ground. His scent made her feel so secure, so happy. Finally, she broke away. "Hi Tina," he said in his velvet voice, giving her a shy smile that made her heart pound. He cleared his throat before handing her a beautiful red book with a gold title printed across the top. She looked at it, and was touched when she realized he had used the title she had suggested. "Newt, I missed you so much. I can't believe-" "Tina, let him catch his breath. Poor dear hasn't eaten in almost a day," Queenie scolded. Blushing, Tina sat him down before sitting next to him.

They ate for quite some time, Queenie rattling on and on about something, but Tina wasn't paying attention. She was looking at Newt, trying to memorize every freckle on his face without him seeing. Finally, Newt turned to Tina. "Tina, this summer, my little sister, Caoimhe, is coming back from her second year of Hogwarts. I was going to spend the summer with my family in England. I told my parents about you, and they wanted to meet you. So I was wondering, how interested would you be in possibly spending the summer with my family and me?" He looked at her, clearly nervous. "Are you crazy? Of course I would! Beats sitting at a desk all summer," Tina replied. Newt's face lit up, clearly exited. "I'll pass." Queenie said, winking at Tina. "I was going to leave tomorrow. Is that alright with you?" Newt asked Tina. She nodded happily. Boy, she had a lot of packing to do!
