Tina knew at once this was a dream. Since when would she wear a dress like this? It was beautiful, made of white lace, a few diamonds stitched on here and there, a satin ribbon for a belt. It flowed behind her as she ran through the beautiful forest. Something was chasing her, but whatever it was, it meant her no harm. The chase seemed almost playful. Finally, she ran straight into a figure. She looked up to see a man in a handsome suit and tie. It was Newt. He chuckled at Tina. "Got you," he whispered, lifting her hand up to his lips. A sparkle on her hand caught her attention. A ring. Slowly, the dream began to piece itself together. Newt and Tina were married. They hated the crowd at their wedding, so they had run off into the forest together, which had soon turned into Newt chasing Tina throughout the forest. He leaned down to plant a kiss on her lips. Tina awoke.
Newt was still there, sound asleep. She felt like crying, not out of fear, but of sadness because the dream was not real.
She shook off this thought and went to get dressed. She came back from the bathroom to awake Newt before trudging down for breakfast.
A new girl stood in the kitchen next to Theseus. She was beautiful, flawless in every way. Not a single scar or freckle on any of the skin that was visible. Her curly brown hair was soft, sleek, and shiny, falling down to her waist. Her eyelashes spread out like the wings of a bat, her violet eyes filled with stars. Her lips were full and a deep crimson, her nose small and dainty. "Hello. You must be Tina," the girl said in a voice that reminded Tina of silk. "My name is Alice. I am engaged to Theseus." Alice flashed a smile at Theseus, who gave her a kiss on the hand. Tina's mind flashed back to the dream, but she quickly shoved the thought away. "Yes, I'm Tina," she replied, smiling politely at Alice as Newt entered the room. "Tina, are you Newt's date to the festival tonight?" Alice asked in her silky voice, winking at Newt, who turned bright red. "Festival?" Tina said, confused. "Has Newt not told you? Every year, my family hosts a festival where every witch and wizard in England are invited to our manor for a dance and refreshments." Alice's violet eyes swept over Tina before continuing. "Theseus said you and Newt had... a thing... anyways, I just thought it would be nice to invite you as well." Tina couldn't help but notice Newt's blush. "Thanks, Alice," Tina said, "But I have nothing to wear and-" Before Tina could finish, Alice had grabbed Tina's arm. "I have lots of dresses I could spare. I will see all of you-" Alice gestured to the Scamander family. "-tonight. Come along Tina."

Tina felt rather stupid, honestly. They had both compromised on the type of dress, and came out with a dark blue sleeveless velvet dress, with a sweetheart neckline and black lace covering the expose portion of her chest. Tina had insisted on putting it there. The dress went down to about her knees, and she was wearing a pair of low blue velvet heels. After a long argument, they had settled on a diamond barrette to hold back Tina's hair from her face. She looked plain compared to Alice, who was dripping diamonds and had chosen a long, red silk dress.
Tina tried to look confident as she walked outside onto the extremely large square where instruments were playing a lively tune on their own accord, and house elves were serving butter beer to the guests. She finally spotted Newt in the crowd, and choked. He looked twice as handsome with his suit. She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before mustering up the courage to walk up to him. His eyes went wide when he saw her. "Tina... you look..." He struggled to find words, and Tina's cheeks burned. "Lovely. Yes, quite lovely, I must say," he said finally. She almost sighed with relief. "Oh, Tina, love!" Mrs. Scamander embraced her. "Don't you look simply lavish!" Mrs. Scamander was wearing a lavender dress that seemed simple, but shimmered with every move she made. Caoimhe's dress was sky blue, sparkling butterflies resting on her skirt, flapping their wings. Caoimhe smiled warmly at Tina. All signs of former tension was gone from her beautiful face. "Mum, Dad wanted to dance with you?" Caoimhe led her mother away, winking at Tina. "So sorry," came Newt's velvety voice. She turned to face him. "How do you feel about a-a dance?" Newt looked at her hopefully. She nodded, breathless. Newt took her out as the instruments struck up a slow tune. He placed a hand on her waist, holding the other. She placed her free hand on his shoulder.
She had no idea how to dance, so Newt had her stand on his feet, and he guided her gently. After the slow song a faster tune struck up, so Newt had her step down, but she still had no idea how to dance. But Newt made it seem easy to her. Tina followed his movements carefully, but lost it when she became to exited. Dancing like this was fun. They both spun at a very fast pace in tempo with the music. All else was forgotten. She risked a glance at Newt's face, and she couldn't look away. He was smiling, laughing, the silver moonlight dancing across his features.
Soon afterwards, they snuck off to the garden. Tina followed him to a pair of stone benches where he stopped. Newt looked as if he were mustering the courage to do something. "Tina, you're different from most girls in every way. In a good way, I mean. I've never met someone quite like you and-" He gulped. "I-I've started to f-fancy you." Tina blushed madly. "I-I mean, maybe just a smidge," he said, clearly assuming her blush was a sign of rejection. She stepped closer to him, her eyes begging for him to continue. "I f-felt a need to a-ask your permission before I k-kissed you," Newt blurted out. He looked at Tina, his face a bright red. Without thinking, Tina grabbed onto his coat and pressed her lips against his.
He tasted of butter beer. His blue eyes were wide with shock, but they soon closed as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Her hands moved up to his neck, deepening the kiss. His lips were soft and warm, slightly chapped. His scent nearly blinded her. They broke apart after what felt like hours, gazing into each other's eyes. "I love you, Newt Scamander." Tina whispered. Everything was perfect.
But all good things come to an end.
