I opened my eyes to see I was in the middle of nowhere. All I could see was the ocean. I was scared. I didn't know what to do. Questions were running through my head. Where am I? How did I get here? What would my grandpa do if he found out I was missing? How long have I been gone?
"Get together Coral," I told myself.
"Take you necklace off," I heard a voice of a woman say.
"No! This seashell necklace is the only thing I have of my dad," I said. Both my parents died when I was really little.
"Take it off!" She said again.
"I won't take it off!"
"You will die if you don't"
"Fine!" I gave in and took it off and handed it to her.
I look down and saw my legs transforming into a mermaid tail. The scales were light blue and the fin had a gold tip. I looked behind me to see another mermaid. She had blonde hair that was at shoulder length. Her eyes were light brown. She had a dark purple tail.
"What's your name?" I asked her.
"My name is Sirena."
"How did I get here?"
"I brought you."
"Why did you bring me here?"
"I was ordered to by your father."
"That's impossible! My dad is dead!"
"Why would you think that?"
"That's what my grandpa told me."
"He lied."
"He won't lie to me. He's not that kind of person."
"Coral, your grandfather lied to protect you."
"Protect me from what?"
"Your father forbids me from telling you."
"How am I supposed to trust you? I just met you."
"Please just try to believe me. Also, take your glasses off."
"No! I can't see anything without these!"
"You need to trust me."
I took my glasses off and everything was clear. Then, a cruise ship started to makes its way to us. Quickly, Sirena grabbed my hand and pulled me under water. In a blink, I was somewhere else.
