Two months passed since Connor gave Maggie the warning that he was going to be watching her; he had. He would come down into the basement every couple hours to make sure she wasn't plotting anything--she hadn't, she'd basically given up on trying to get out of Connor's house. Maggie hadn't seen her family in five months, she worried that they thought she was dead.
On Februrary twentieth, 3:39 PM, Maggie was looking over at the stairs constantly. She knew she was five months pregnant at this point and she was scared of Connor doing the C-section himself. The heart that Connor had had when he first met Maggie had diminshed and now it was cold as ice. Maggie closed her eyes and thought back to a time in her life when she'd been happy, but she couldn't remember any happy moments, everything she remembered was about Connor.
At 5:45 PM, it was getting dark outside. Connor was upstairs in the kitchen preparing for Maggie's C-section, Maria was out of town with a few friends. Connor looked down at all the tools he had gathered for the C-section, mostly focused on the the knife. He remembered when Maggie first became pregnant and he'd told her that she wasn't allowed to have the baby. He looked over at the archway where Maggie had slid into a sitting position. He was trying to calm her down, it didn't work.
"Maggie, I know I considered you as my daughter, but killing your baby now is the only choice I got. I want to be the father of Maria's baby, not yours." He thought to himself. He grabbed all his tools and went into the basement, his long black hair hung over his left eye. He had no sympathy for hurting Maggie this bad.
Maggie heard his footsteps and chills went up her spine. She held her belly in fear of her life. Maggie shook her head, not thinking this was happening to her. But it was all true, none of this was a fantasy, no matter how much she wanted this whole thing to be one big bad dream.
As Connor came all the way down the stairs, he glanced over at Maggie and he knew--for a spilt second--she was scared.
"Come on Maggie, it's time. You have nowhere to run to. That baby is coming out whether you like it or not." Connor admitted to her.
Maggie stayed in her spot, didn't move an inch.
Connor sighed and lay his tools on the table, walking over to Maggie and sitting down on the bed.
"Maggie, come on, you're only making this harder than it needs to be." Connor said calmly, his tone making the sentence threatening.
Maggie shook her head and she looked at Connor dead in the eyes, " Do you . . . Do you really want me . . . Do you really want me dead . . . ?" Maggie asked him sadly.
Connor's eyebrows narrowed to his eyes and his deep blue eyes glistened, his evil look was a sign that something was going to happen soon. He stood up and grabbed Maggie by her hair and forced her toward his face.
Maggie screamed as Connor grabbed her hair, he had her about an inch from his face, "I'm warning you, Maggie, this is your last time to sacrifice the baby and I'll spare your life." Connor said to her in a threatening tone.
Maggie just looked into his deep blue eyes, her fear was getting worse with each passing second; she gave up and nodded. She closed her eyes and stood up; Connor let go of her hair and let her walk over to the table.
As Maggie glanced down at the tools, she became disgusted, though she kept looking at them.
Connor faced Maggie toward him, "Take off your clothes, Maggie." he said to her as he handed her a big white t-shirt.
Before she got undressed, Connor took all the tools and held them in his hands; he turned around so Maggie could have some privacy.
Maggie stripped herself down and she put the t-shirt on, she then started to cry. She was scared and didn't want the baby to die this way. She didn't want the baby to die at all, but didn't seem to have a choice.
