chapter 7 Soon Enough

CHIRP CHIRP

" man the birds in this city are always so happy and loud" says Alex waking up.

She stretches and yawns sitting up in the bed. It takes her a few minutes to realize she isn't in her own bed.

" where am I?" Says Alex looking around

Joe then walks into the doorway smirking.

" you're in my bed..." says Joe raising his eyebrows " and must I say it was one hell of a night"

" what do you mean ' one hell of a night ' ? Oh no... we didn't ' do it ' did we?" Says Alex getting nervous and jumping out of the bed

" oh yeah we did and it was amazing " says Joe

" man... WAIT! Then why are my clothes still on?! " says Alex glancing at Joe who is holding in his laughter " THAT'S CAUSE WE DIDN'T DO IT AT ALL! "

" Ha Ha Ha Ha " says Joe laughing really hard " oh man that's hilarious "

"Glad you find this funny , Joe you scared me" says Alex punching him in the arm. " you're such an ass sometimes"

Alex is trying to be angry with Joe but starts cracking a smile and slightly laughing.

" You know you love me " says Joe grabbing Alex's hand and pulling her close to him

" you're right, I can't be mad at you but I can still get revenge" says Alex holding up her fingers.

Alex holds up her finger and begins to tickle Joe's stomach.

" haha stop A-l- e-x please stop it hurts hahaha" says Joe breathless

" fine , I'm satisfied now, I'm leaving haha" says Alex smile then walking out into the hallway.

" hey I'm sorry, don't go, I'll make you breakfast..." says Joe running to her

" oh no Joe that's not why I'm leaving, what you did was funny, I'm leaving because Zoe wants me to meet her at the mall" says Alex going up to Joe.

" oh okay I was scared I made you upset, and okay, at least have something to eat before you go" says Joe grabbing her shoulders

" aw no you didn't make me upset, and okay something quick" says Alex with a warm smile

Alex eats and then tension between her and Joe is growing but awkwardly. They exchange glances but ever since then date the day before they don't know how to behave around each other, are they friends, more than friend's? They are lost in this growing relationship.

" ok I'm off to the mall" says Alex walking to the door

" ok see you later...ill...miss you?!" Says Joe unsure of what he just said

" I'll miss you too... unless you want to come with us?" Says Alex

" too the mall?" Asks Joe confused

" yeah Alfie is coming so you're not intruding... plus it's not like we're actually shopping, I might buy a thing or 2 but it's just to hang out" says Alex

" sure, I'll text and ask Zoe" says Joe.

Zoe replies with ' of course ' and then Alex and Joe set off for another whole day of fun.

AT THE MALL

" hiiii " says Zoe running and hugging Alex. " I feel like I haven't seen you in forever"

" I know, I'm sorry I've been .... Busy " says Alex glancing at Joe

Joe looks back at Alex then walks up to say hi to Alfie.
