Chapter 3: become better friends

*Creek Creek *

" aw come on you stupid floor,  be quiet!". Says Alex whispering so she doesn't wake up Joe. 

After Alex makes it down the hall to the kitchen she opens the fridge. When she does she notices there is nothing for breakfast in there. So she decides to wait for Joe to get up.

30 minutes go by and Joe comes walking into the living room clearly still half asleep.

" well look what the cat dragged in haha, good morning sleepy head." Says Alex laughing

" haha very funny,  and what do you mean sleepy head? It's only 9:30!? On a Saturday!?". Says Joe rubbing his eyes. 

" Sorry I'm used to getting up early to go to work!" Says Alex going to the kitchen.

" it's cool, so what's for breakfast early bird? Haha" says Joe amusing himself and sitting at the kitchen counter.

" well that's why I got up so early,  I was going to make you breakfast, but I looked in the fridge and there is nothing, you really have to go shopping " says Alex smiling.

" I know I do, I've been meaning too! Hey, why don't we go out for breakfast? " Asks Joe kinda shy.

" yeah that sounds great!  Are Zoe and Alfie coming to?" Asks Alex pouring a cup of coffee for her and Joe.

" um,  no I was thinking just us? Why do you want them to come?" Asks Joe nervously.

" no, the 2 of us will be fun, we can become better friends" Says Alex  thinking to herself did I really just say ' better friends.

" okay cool let's good get ready then we'll head out!" Says Joe.

At the restaurant

They arrive at the restaurant, sit down,  order and eat. They are there for 2 hours taking and getting to know each other better.

" oh man we have been here for 2 hours haha. We should probably go? " says Joe 

" yeah, I am having fun though!" Says Alex smiling widely at Joe causing him to smile.

" yeah me too! Hey. Maybe we can keep having fun? Are you busy today?" Asks Joe.

" no not at all why" asks Alex biting her lip. Which causes Joe to stutter.

" um I - uh- um, I was thinking that we could walk around London go to some shops and just chat around town?" Says Joe shrugging his shoulders.

" that sounds perfect! It's a date!?" Says Alex.

" a what?" Says Joe stunned.

" um a , I'm- I'm going to go pay I'll meet you outside!" Says Alex getting away from there as fast as possible. 

Joe's pov 

As soon as I hear the word date come out of her mouth,  my stomach is instantly filled with butterflies.  I mean of course I want to go on a date with her and this is my type of date, I just can't date my sisters best friend , or can I?  I guess we'll see?

Back to reality

" ready?" Says Alex excited

" yeah" says Joe with a warm smile on his face

They are then off on their "date" . They walk around for hours sight seeing , going into shops any taking pictures. Joe and Alex are both vlogging to make vlogs to post on their channels.

Hours have past and it is now 5:00 and they decide to call it a day.

" I'm tired, let's call it a day " Says Joe yawning and stretching causing him to flex. Which gets Alex's attention. 

" huh, yeah me too, I'm glad we decided to grab groceries earlier" says Alex.

" Me too, now let's go" says Joe.

On the way home they are still talking like they have been talking all day.

" hey Joe I had a lot of fun today, I'd say we're pretty good friends now  haha " Says Alex

" Me too, this was a fun date" Says Joe realizing what he just said.

Before he can say another word he realizes Alex is out of the car and ran to the apartment.  He thinks about why she did then he realized his phone is gone.

As Joe runs after her he can hear her laughing.

" whats so funny?" Asks Joe

" nothing, just laughing at this folder of selfies." Says Alex laughing.

" Alex give me my phone" says Joe

" okay here you go" says Alex giving it to him.

" that was easy...too easy... what did you do? " says Joe

" I promise you I didn't do anything " says Alex cracking a smile.

" tell me or I'll tickle you" says Joe holding up his hands.

" You wouldn't dare!" Says Alex

Immediately after Alex says that she feels his hands on her sides. He begins tickling her.

" joe, p-please s-stop" says Alex out of breathe from laughing so hard.

" fine, I'll stop but I still don't believe you. " says Joe laughing then tickling her more.

" thank you!" Says Alex.

As Alex looks up to thank Joe she realizes they're are closer than she thought.  Their eyes meet and lock their gaze.  Before she knew it she felt Joe's lips on hers. Before she connected the dots of what was actually happening,  Joe pulled away.

Alex's POV 

After Joe finished tickling me I looked up to thank him and before I knew it his lips were on mine.

I didn't know what was happening,  on the one hand I was excited and happy because I was kissing the boy I really like but on the other,  I was confused and nervous because I can't date Zoe's brother that's part of the girl code or something!  My mind was spinning and my stomach was doing karts heels!

But I didn't stop him, when his warm, soft lips connected with mine I felt like I was in my own world. I know that's cleshay but that's how I felt! 

Back to reality

After Joe pulled away, they continued to lock their gaze then were interrupted by the TV! 

I'm, Joe I think you say on the remote haha "! Says Alex

" my bad , well I best be going to bed,  goodnight!" Says Joe with a warm smile.

As Joe starts to leave down the hall he heads Alex yell "wait" .

He turns around and Alex gives him a kiss on the cheek and says

" good night! " she says with a warm smile. As she says that she slips a piece of paper in his pocket smiles at him again then skips off to bed.

Joe pulls out the piece of paper, reads it then smiles and heads off to bed eager to start tomorrow!
