The door the two entered was less of a room and more of a helicopter landing. It was all open with plants and foantains, it looked like something you'd find at some luxury hotel. There were whicker chairs around a fire pit and palm trees lining the edge. The floors were carved stone. The whole thing looked pretty expensive.

There was in fact a giant landing pad behind all the chairs. On it was a slick, black helicopter. Everything about it was smooth and slick black it looked like a sports car with a fan on top. It looked even better against the bright blue sky. She walked to the edge of the pad. She looked out over the side but all she could see were greenish blue waves crashing around her. She leaned out but still saw no signs of civilization.

Abe walked up beside her and propped his elbows up on the ledge.
"Focus on the sky." He instructed solftly. He didn't know that she'd done it before. She imagined a sold rain, the sun hitting it at just the right angle. A bright rainbow streached across her mind. She opened her eyes and it was all there, just the same as it was in her head.
She smirked and turned to Abe.
Hr looked back at her and smirked back.
"You're good..." He trailed off.

The lesson went really well, he was supposed to be teaching her the baics of what she already knew. They had a year of this too, a year of just messing around with the sky for an hour a day.

"So what's the helicopter for?" She asked from under her umbrella as Abe showed off how he could make rare conditions, such as something he called "mammatus clouds" that looked like bubbles in the sky. At the time he'd made hail. As it scattered the ground and bounced off her umbrella she came up with a devious plan.

She focused on her cold skin and imagined it heating up. She laughed when the tempretute rose higher and higher, melting the hail. She looked at Abe's confused face and laughed. He turned around with his lips pursed and slowly nodded his head, this was a challenge how.

Suddenly she went cold, shivering cold, as did Abe but he hid it.
"Cold?" He laughed, the words a fog in the chilly air. Kate brought the tempreture back to normal.
"Fiiiiiine, you win..." She said in a mock-dramatic tone, still laughing.

That's how the first part of the lesson went, thirty minutes. The next part would consist of things having to do with the best helicopter she'd ever lay eyes on.

"Wanna go in the helicopter now?" He asked soaking wet from the rain. They'd put the weather back to normal now.
"Yeah!" She cheered estatic by not only the thought of touching that beautiful helicopter. He pulled a pair of keys out of his pocket and winked in the adorable, not-smooth-at-all way he did things. He climbed up the small ladder that led into the driver seat and she climbed in opposite of him. They buckled in and he started the thing. (I know nothing about helicopters please don't attack me)

The engine was loud as it roared to life, lifting off moments later.
"This part's always my favorite." He said looking out at the sea. The waves got huge and giant, he flew far away to where the giant concrete building sticking out of the ocean was just a speck on the horizen.
"See what you can do from here." He urged.

She found that she could do many things from up in the helicopter, at one point making the waves twenty full feet high then down to a single foot in less then a minute total. Abe said it was speed that would matter most on missions. They only stayed in the air a short time, landing after about ten minutes.

"One last part..." He said as he got out, she followed.
"What is is?" She asked, she was having a blast so far. What could be better?
"We're going to get coffee!" He smirked, the one he did when there was more to the story. She could guess that it was to work on her skills involving people and their emotions.

They went through the lobby and to the elevator, all the way down to the parking garage. They got off and found the black suberban, he climbed in the driver's side, Kate across from him. They returned to the same tunnel and went out the same way to a small town.

They found a local coffee shop and went inside, ordered their things and sat down.

"What's that lady in the green dress thinking? What's she feeling?" He asked her. She understood why they'd come here now, she'd been right before.
Kate focused on the woman, she couldn't pick up the exact things she was thinking but she could read that she was quite bored. Focusing harder and closing her eyes Kate was able to get a bit of an over look at what she felt about the man across from her. She was bored by him yet curious, most likely some type of first date that was going downhill. She let go of the connection and brought herself back to where she was sitting.

"She's a little bored right now but curious about the person in front of her. I'm guessing its some type of first date that's a little too dull for her, poor thing." She said casually. She nodded and asked her about what the date thought of her, she read him and told him about how he felt about the woman.

That's how it went for the rest of the time they had. They got lunch at a nearby seafood resuraunt, it was pretty good.

"So when do I learn to drive and fly helicopters?" She asked on the way back to the base.
"Whenever you decide you want to. You're a registered eighteen year old on your I.D. in the booklet your badge came it. You've got any license you need in there. Do you know how?" He answered. She shook her head. He pulled the car over and got out, urging her into the front seat.

He told her what to do in extreme detail, but overall she was doing it. She was doing a good job too. She drove up to the entrance of the tunnel where he took back over. Off to whatever this "meeting" was, probably her.
