The group stepped off the elevator and said thier good nighslts and went back to their rooms. She changed into her pajamas and tucked herself into the comfortable, warm bed. She gently closed her eyes, twisting around to get all cozy. She did it, the perfect position to sleep in.

That's when there was a knock at the door. Kate's eyes opened quikly and she glared into the dark before slinging off the blankets and storming to the door. She opened it and crossed her arms, head cocked at who stood there. Of course it was Ave again, she didn't mind that much but it still didn't put her over the moon.

"I was just getting comfy!" She quietly exclaimed laughing gently, under her breath.

"You said you wanted an answer but if not..." he shrugged sloppily.

"Come in in then." She groaned.

He did and the two went to her couch, not bothering to turn on anything but a single lamp.

"Well?" She said flatly, still half asleep.

"Well, I wanted to make you feel at home." He grinned.

"You woke me up for this?" She laughed.

"You did want to know..." he laughed getting up.

"Get out." She joked as I left and she went back to bed. At the door he stopped and looked at her. She could feel him taking in everyone of her facial features. He smirked again and lifted a hand, ran it through her hair and pulled her in. He hugged her tightly.

"You're nice." She wishpered into his hair before breaking away. They held eye contact for afew moments before he left for his room. She sighed and finnally went back to bed.

The alarm screeched overthe intercom and announced team training in two hours at 8 a.m.
Kate groaned and slung her covers off, she stumbled into the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee. She took a sip of it and went to the back of her apartment. She looked out the window and realized there was actually a balcony out of it.

She slid open the glass door and carfully stepped out onto it, she looked over and saw it was a shared balcony and that her neighboring team member also shared it. She wondered why they weren't also waking up to the view of the skyline. She sat down in a small plastic chair that was there, she thought about how nice it would be to hang a hamock here and relax next to the city.

It was still notably dark and the buildings were starting to have Windows lighting up one by one. She took in the way the city woke up and smiled. She got up and put her elbows on the railing she leaned out and looked down. Suddenly she felt a lurch and realized she was plumeting downwards. She screamed and tried to focus on not dying, she couldn't do that but it wasn't something she realized as she fell.

From his room and heard the scream, he walked out casually into the balcony, the railing was missing. He looked down over the edge and saw a huge crack in the concrete.

"FUCK NO ONE TOLD HER ABOUT THE RUST!?!?!" He ran out to the hallway and took the elevator down to the ground floor and sprinted out to the sidewalk. Kate was of course fully intact and unharmed but she would still feel like she had suffered all the regular damage. She was unconcious and he bent down and picked her up quickly, rushing her inside and back to the elevator. He paniced and went over what to do in his head. She wouldn't be unconcious forever and they didn't have medicine strong enough for immortals, that was something else he also should've told her. How could he have been so irrisponible with all this imformation? she'd surely hate him now!

When they got up to the floor with the rooms he took her inside his own and sat her gently in the bed, he didn't know how long she'd be in pain for but it would be at least a full 24 hours. He grabbed all the extra blankets and pillows and wrapped her up with lots of cushionimg, then he got the ones from her own room too.

He waited by the bed in anticipation for her to wake up, praying it wouldn't be as bad as he suspected. He picled up the phone afted a little and called the other's to tell them about what happened , they were very very mad at him about it.

Soon all of them were crowded around her and waiting for her to wake up, that is after they took turns yelling at Abe .

" HOW DO YOU FORGET TO TELL HER ABOUT THESE THINGS YOU IDIOT"
"THANKS FOR ALMOST KILLING YOUR GIRLFRIEND ABE!" And more.

Soon she woke up and the first thing she did was scream at the top of her lungs for a solid 30 seconds. Abe was still locked out on the balcony where they made him to out of sheer anger a few minuites earlier. He strained to see in the window and banged on it tryin g to get someone to let him in and help.

Jazlen offered her and hand and Chris did the same but oddly she didn't take them. She stopped screaming and took a couple deep breaths. She sat up and streached out slowlu, bending each of her joints and looking herself over. jazlen stayed beside her to make sure she was okay. As she walked they realized she was completly okay.

"i thought you said I was immortal! Why were you all so scared ?"  She actually laughed as she said it. Chris gave a weak laugh and explained how Abe skipped on explaining some of the aspects he was supposed to. Kate looked confused because as she said it didn't hurt for more then about 30 seconds.

They were bewildered that it didn't because they'd had their experiences with the same aspect of their extended lives. Kate sat down  on the bed again

"I am extremely tired though, I'm gonna go to sleep and try to get my energy back." They understood and left her in the apartment alone. She wondered why Abe hadn't said so and didn't even stay with her when she was hurt. Where was he anyway?

She heard something at the door to the balcony and got up to see. It was A hand banging on the window, she couldn't see anything but that much. She walked up to the door and found it lockef, she turned the lock and slowly slid it open. Abe stood up quickly and instantly began to apologize in a slur of words. Kate could understand it was an accident and she would forgive him for it.

"Please say you'll forgive me eventually I -I didn't mean for you to get hurt, I love you ... I'm sorry I know it was horrible of me i -I'm a horrible perso- wait! You're okay!?!" He was frantic but she only caught three words of it.

" I'm okay I promise, it's okay calm down, I love you too, you arent a horrible person, im jusy tired im gonna take a long nap and I'll be okay trust me."  She explained and backed into the room, he followed and held her hands firmly expecting her to not be able to walk well yet.

" stay here, you can sleep here." He said and helped her into the bed, she covered up and dozed off with him checking on her every few moments, before he went to training. The boss dicided to let her skip today's training, if she felt better she was welcome to join however.

Abe was silent in the gym and did his workout quickly and half heartedly so he could leave sooner, the boss didn't argue and let him out without correcting anything he did. When he got back he found that Kate wasn't in his appartment anymore, that was a releif she was well enough to be on her own now. He pondered checking on her and decided he would pop in before individual training and see if she was up for it or not.
