Few Days Later
A few days had passed, and now today was Sophia's birthday – something that Cheryl was extremely excited about. Even though time had been limited, Cheryl still managed to plan an epic party for Sophia – Cheryl's sister Gillian was on her way down with her kids, and Cheryl's backyard currently had a massive bouncy castle for the children to play as well. While Sophia had been out the previous day with Liam's sisters, Liam had gone out to the shop and gotten a load of things that Cheryl knew Sophia wanted, and they were going to make sure today was Sophia's day completely. Joan would obviously be there, as well as Cheryl's brother Garry, and then Karen, Geoff, Ruth, and Nicola were coming as well. In addition to family, their close friends – Nicola, Lily, and Kimberley, along with her husband Justin and their sons, would be attending the little dinner as well. Even Cheryl's other lawyer friend, Melanie Brown, would be coming as well with her younger children to join in on the fun.
Sophia was currently downstairs in the lounge, watching her baby brother as he relaxed in his bouncer while Liam was upstairs getting showered for the day. Cheryl was already showered and dressed and was now in the kitchen, making a massive breakfast for Sophia of pancakes, sausages, eggs, and fruit salads and sorts as she knew this was what Sophia loved. She hummed away to herself, it feeling like a happy little bubble was surrounding her constantly as she felt so great in life – having her healthy new baby, a healthy four year old, and her amazing man whom she couldn't wait to marry in the upcoming months.
Of course, there was still that international job offer that was lingering in the back of her mind, and that sometimes caused a wave of anxiety to rush over her when she did think about it. She hadn't really had much time to think about it lately due to everything going on, but it was certainly something she needed to think about considering there was six months left in the year. Both she and her brother needed to think more about it, though they didn't speak about it together as much.
She wondered if she was subconsciously trying to run from that offer – out of fear.
"There's my amazing hot lawyer chick."
The deep voice immediately snapped her from her thoughts, a smile spreading across her face as the warm pair of tattooed, muscular arms wrapped around her waist and a pair of lips pecked her cheek. She turned her head, softly kissing Liam's lips in return before going back to making their breakfast while Liam flipped the kettle to make himself a cup of tea.
"You're looking quite hot; luckily I can't do anything else I'd be tearing them clothes off you later." She smirked at him, making him burst out laughing as he loved how outrageous she could be. It wasn't as if she was lying, though, as Liam did look incredibly handsome in a pair of dark blue jeans that were slightly baggy, as well as a plain grey t-shirt that outlined his muscular frame perfectly, as well as a pair of grey and white Converse trainers.
"Thank God we're on a sex ban; you're fucking crazy," Liam laughed away to himself, "You're looking pretty hot too, mind; we're too hot for our own good."
And he wasn't lying, because Cheryl did look incredibly attractive in a pair of denim shorts and a plain black tank-top along with her sandals with her brunette locks tied up into a top bun; not at all looking as if she'd just had a baby a few days ago.
"Let's not get carried away there, Payno," she giggled away, "Right, this is about done so set the table for me, please?"
"Yes ma'am." Liam smirked, nudging her before putting the plates out on the little glass kitchen table where they were going to eat. He grabbed their glasses as well and filled them with orange juice while Cheryl put the serving plates on the table so they could dish up their own plates of yummy breakfast. While she was doing that, Liam wandered into the lounge to grab Austin and Sophia; Sophia skipping ahead of him excitedly while he chuckled away, wandering in behind her with Austin in his arms. Sophia looked incredibly adorable in her floral print playsuit along with her pink and white Converse that Liam had presented her with that morning, her curly hair having been styled into a high ponytail to keep it out her face as Cheryl was sure she'd be outside playing with Bobby at some point later when he came over.
